Hey people!

First time poster here.

So my story is this: I bought Fatal Frame in 2003 after seeing an advertisment in a magazine and never found the courage to play it until this week! 6 years later, lucky I have a 60GB PS3 and am able to still play it without having to install the PS2!

I have to say, for a game made in 2000-2002, this game is AMAZING! I'm almost done in ACT 2 and already it's one of the best all time games I ever played.

I guess I am lucky because now I still have fatal Frame 2 and 3 to buy and play! But the real reason I am here is to let Tecmo know that wherever I go on any Gaming forums people are asking, begging for new survival horror games!!

Especially on the PS3!! and I guess the Xbox 360 as well!

Please do not go the portable little baby console way! Your real fanatic fans are all on the 2 real consoles and will buy any survival horror you make, be it Fatal Frame 4 or 5, or even a new surival horror series!! Especially a Japanese themed one! People love that stuff here, movies like Ringu, etc!

Why not make a new Fatal Frame game, or bring #4 on major console and make perhaps a new Ringu franchise or other Japanese Horror themed series!

Box art: Was it Fatal Frame 2 that had the 2 girls standing from a distance? or was it Siren 2?
I love that box art so much.


Anyway, I've played the one of Xbox, I wasn't not really impressed with it, because...it wasn't scary! I mean the Six Sense gave away the jumpy and scariness away.


I played Siren Blood Cause demo, it's impressive, but I'm still not 100% sure if I'll buy the game or not.


We need a good scary game! Fatal Frame could have been good, but with the six sense, it doesn't make it scary!
I mean, if you use the camera mode, a ghost could just jump or appear at your screen. That would be scary! But with the six sense that causes a vibration, you would suspect a ghost is nearby so you'd expect a ghost to appear.

But rule out Fatal Frame series, and Resident Evil4. Those games are not scary.

We need a good scary game!
That goes back to Japan's origin...you know, the village type.

I wonder If tecmo really reads these forums.

We would like to see a re-release of all of the fatal frame games with the option to have a First Person view (as if you are IN the game)
Have options so you can customise for left handed players (a complete button + control stick assign perhaps controller sensitivity settings maybe with pre-configured controls you can change at the option screen at any time.)
make an option where the voices can be in Japanese/English with the option to turn off and on subtitles in both languages. This is you players can can appreciate the Japanese voice actors/actresses and understand what they are talking about.

I mean I appreciate the US version we get where we can understand what is going on but at the same time for some strange reason, the Japanese voice actors seem to give it a special FEEL all on its own.(ever hear what the ghosts are saying...)

I mean that is what makes doom3 and FEAR scary as if you forget that it is a game for a few seconds since you are seeing it as if you are the character.
NOW if all fatal frame games or the NEXT Fatal frame games had this as an option it would really BE SCARY.

Maybe make the camera bob up and down when you walk (as if you are walking,no steady aim unless standing) and perhaps be able to "DUCK" so you can hide behind things if you "LOSE" your camera (or better yet OUT OF FILM.)and the ghosts are looking for you. Maybe add an element of "stealth" wher you can sneak around, but if you make NOISE...THEY KNOW WHERE YOU ARE.

(I am giving away Ideas here TECHMO that I wished were in the Fatal Frame games.)


as long as the gameplay parts can be in FPS mode
there is still life in the series.

perhaps still base it in Japan.

Fatal Frame II The Crimson Butterfly Director's Cut already had a First Person Mode.

Yeah I do have crimson butterfly (uk) special edition with FPS mode.
The PS2 jap version I have of that title does not seem to have FPS mode.


Was there ever a ps2 crimson butterlfy (jap version) with FPS. IF so where can i Buy it?
