Has anyone figured out a way to transfer DOAX2 saves?

With the NXE, harddrive space is becoming more and more important and people are in the process of upgrading their HDDs. 20GB isn't cutting it anymore with many 360 users and I'm beginning to think I'm one of them.

If there is ANY way to keep my saves while upgrading to the 120GB, I want to hear it. I don't care if it means hacking or modding something or using a save device on a PC. I put too many hours on my DOAX2 save and it is completely unacceptable that I can't use a transfer kit to keep my saves.

I honestly can't believe that no one has figured out how to do it. This game is the only reason why I would not use a transfer kit and upgrade my harddrive and that's absolutely ridiculous.

Unfortunately if you decided to use your hard drive for your DOA saves I'm sorry to say that you need to keep the 20 without using the transfer kit, which will erase the 20 after the transfer. What Team Ninja decided to do with the DOA saves is not normal(I haven't heard of any other games not made by Team Ninja with the same problem.) and it was certainly done on purpose but at this point just serves to upset the fans. It would be awesome if they corrected this through an update for both games. At least an update that allows the save to be transfered via Transfer kit. Unfortunately that probably isn't going to happen so keep the 20 and re-download stuff the the 120. Swap hard drives when ever you want to play DOA.

You could ask Microsoft for an update to the transfer process that doesn't erase the 20 after use but the problem with doing that is security. Having 2 hard drives with your gamertag information on it can prove to be a problem in the long run especially if you make a mistake an put it on ebay without erasing the information.

Good news. I know a way to transfer your saves from the old 20 gig to the new 120 gig HDD.

You need the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit. More good news. It's free.

Go to this link for more information.

The links for how to obtain a transfer kit are at the bottom of the page.

If you want to skip going through the ordering process via snailmail then you can just do what I did. Call the (800)4MY-XBOX phone number and just request one. They'll just verify your information and ship one out to you.

Hope that helps Wink

Oh, and just an FYI. I have transfered my full 20 gig to a 120 gig and it copied everything over including my DOAX2 save. It took over an hour for it to finish the transfer but it works great.

I used the transfer kit that came with the 120GB HDD and everything transferred over from the 20GB to the 120GB HDD fine. I was able to load up the saves for both DOA4 and DOAX2, play and then resave. DOA2 Ultimate also transferred as well.

I'm glad to hear that it works now. Last thing I heard about the issue was that the transfer kit didn't work with DOAX2 but I guess that issue had been resolved. That is certainly great for gamers since it looks like Microsoft will soon add a bigger hard drive to their arsenal.
