mines was 148 against the cleavland team. i had 316 rushing yards and 784 passing yards giving me 1100 yards total. i pretty much did the same as DK and kept doin onside kicks...but yea...i manged to be able to get 100 yd rushing for my QB and both my RB's and 150 yd passing for both my receivers and both of my running backs. i almost got the TE too but didnt have enough time on the last drive...though i did get 300 yds passing too...obviously, lol

I had 150, the cool thing was scoring 56 in the 4th quarter. With edited teams this game is no challenge at all, even with the lack of long passes.

I just scored 276 in a game... including 88 points in the second quarter. I had approximately 1600 total yards of offense (500 rushing, 1100 passing).
5 minute quarters, using onside kicks and two point conversions.
I am in week 17 of season 5, and for the season I am averaging about 204 points a game. A lot of games around 180-195 early in the season, but once I broke the 200 barrier I am regularly banking 220-250+ now.
I do not just pass on offense, but when I do, I use the best play in the game. Its the run and shoot play where there are 2 receivers that go short, and 2 receivers that go long. There is almost always someone open, and most importantly the receivers all stay away from each other.
You can alter the running speeds of your quarterback that make him unsackable even if they pick the play. You can do the same with your wideouts to make them virtually uncatchable once they get the ball. I use this same passing play on two-point conversions and just roll out with the quarterback and it works everytime. If you alter the speeds of your defensive players and use Tecmo Jo on defense as the cornerback at the top of the screen, you can recover an average of 7 out of 10 onside kicks; sometimes 10 out of 10. The few times they do recover the ball you can usually stall their drives quite easily with Tecmo Jo, and pick off passes easily for touchdowns. Also, I just figured out if Jo is in that position (TOP of the screen CB) he can blitz around the end and tackle the holder before any field goal can be attempted.
This will be my last post, unless I can crack the 300 mark.

This is just silly. What is the fun in thrashing the computer 200-0? Tecmo programmers are you our there? Do you plan on making this game competitive when playing the computer? I'm still waiting for my copy of tecmo from amazon. But I'm wondering if this game is going to be complete waste of time if it is this easy to beat the computer...

245-0 in a regular season game against the computer. I had my Carolina Huskies team with my Tecmo Jo against a team that had 5000 pts. As I played, I would try to increase the pts. of my regular season opponants to match mine, but to no avail. The game is to easy.
Not to ramble, but when I played Tecmo Super Bowl, there were many times that I would lose one or two games a season, or make it to the Super Bowl unbeaten and lose. The player condition leveled the playing field, along with injuries.
I remember one Super Bowl matchup. I was using the Giants and played the Raiders like 10 times and never one. I had some key players in bad condition and had Jeff Hostettler (sp.?) as the QB and Bo Jackson was in excellent condition. I would play well and he would break a long one, or several.
I liked the fact that the game to into account things that could go wrong in the season and that going unbeaten was not a given.
Too, the computer simulations were always accurate, whereas this computer simulation is terrible. I had one week of the regular season where half the games were 17-7 with the same stats. That never happened in Tecmo Super Bowl. And it does not matter how many points a team has. I have a team that I lowered to 2500 pts, and it made the playoffs!

70-0 Kirkland vs. Everett in the Tecmo Bowl Championship. I basically stomped on the Everett Charcoal on every play in all quarters.

Regarding how bad the computer simulation is, my Sesame Street Grouches, at 2900 pts., made the Tecmo Bowl in a season I just completed this week. They were controled by the computer in Skip2 mode. Go figure!

Hey guys, I got a challenge for u to try out: Do either a quick-play or a preseason game, but with ur control type be coaching and set the minutes to 15 per quarter. I'm doing it right now with the 1972 Miami Dolphins and the 2006 New Orleans Saints (which the score right now is 24-10 NO).
