Finally got it. I have been playing Tecmo Bowl since the beginning. I have all versions, on all systems. And now finally i have this, i played 1 preseason game and so far i Absolutely LOVE IT(1 small gripe read below)! Anyone who loves the old school Tecmo Bowl football games will LOVE THIS ONE.

I played Oakland(me) vs Detroit. Sunny weather and 3 minute quarters. I won 15-14. I went for 2 on my 1st TD. Detroit scored there 2nd TD with about 1:30 left in the game. THEY DID NOT GO FOR 2pt Conversion??? WHY NOT??? Well they did try an on-side kick so i am not too upset (just a small gripe), and who knows it was preseason so maybe they wanted practice kicking...LOL! Anyways I got the onside kick and ran out the clock and won. There was no penalty's to be found!

The Game seems alil slow speed wise, but that gives the time for the plays too develop, so it's not that big of a problem. Lots of stats, the control is great(definately i won't use the stylus stick, i tried it on some passes. Works ok but not my thing), cool animations, great voice work, cool retro music. I highly recommend this to ALL of The Tecmo Bowl Lovers out there. Now i will start the daunting task of creating the Ultimate copycat League of the _._._. (You guys can insert the League intials, LOL!!!!

liking the game so far. however, i just played over wifi, and i'm not happy with it. the controls are slow to register, which causes problems. i couldn't even select my player on defense. but the worst part, and honestly i'm not surprised that this happened, i was just about to pull of a comeback victory, when i intercepted a pass a the 1:23 mark in the 4th quarter, and the game freezes. so i'm assuming the guy on the other end turned off his ds in frustration, not wanting to lose. so, i thought i'd still get the win, but all i got was a WFC error, game data won't be saved. i didn't see the user name, but the team name was new york hardknocks.

someone post some friend codes so we can get some games going!

Hey short timer what kind of internet connection you have?

I love this game. It's not TSB for the NES which I like. Not knocking the old NES version ( I love that as well) it still holds to the same feel but differentiates enough to feel fresh. It's not perfect and I know a lot of hardcore fans are rather disappointed but I think it's a solid effort and the gameplay is fun. So far I am in season 5 and starting to dominate against the CPU (which I should). It's not Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES and it's not a complete port to the DS. It is however a solid effort that's entertaining and so far has kept my attention longer than NCAA 09 has.

The game is pretty good but it could have used further polishing and better statistical options.

I totally agree with shor timer on this one. Controls are way slow over wi fi for some reason. Any other game I play over wi fi is okay like Tetris, Mario Kart etc. But for some reason Tecmo either freezes or is horrifically slow to the point where it's hard to kick at the end of the meter or change people on defense or receivers on offense. I had to adjust my game for the flaws, however and I still rock at it.

I had to upgrade my router in order to get a better WIFI connection with my DS. Now when I play the game is not as slow and I am able to change people on defense and switch receivers on offense a lot faster than before.
