What ever happen? Tecmo bowl kickoff was so fun to play. I used to look forward to seeing who I might play next. There was some great competition out there. It was great... And then came the age of the quitter led by they're king...FRANGO! From that point on online game play began to die and now it is rare to find anyone to play. Fairwell to all those memorable games.
I really enjoyed playing you and appreciated the matches that we had.
Maybe it was not all Frango...before you and I got online, the online play was fierce and competitive, with Detroit Kid being the last of those originals. But, yes, it was the ability to quit with no accountability that was the problem with this game.
Too, the other problem was waiting for online games. I had a few minutes a night with job and family...pretty sure like you. When you have multitudes of quitters, and have to wait for online games, and then it winds up that you are on playing the same 2-3 people, I guess it gets old.
I beat Detroit Kid one time and never even got another match with him. Some people just take this thing to serious.
I have not sold my copy yet, but I am done. Just so as not to go back, I deleted all my team data.
Frango, yes, you really played a big part contributing to this. When you came on in July, we were really trying to get online play going again and there was some interest. You quit so many times that you basically irritated anyone who had interest in returning. It was you and people like you that ruined this game. You probably think this kind of thing is funny. You could have been a good player...but all you did was jerk people around.
Striker, I wish you all the best and enjoyed the good games.
Farewell Tim you will be greatly missed. You definitely live among the tecmo bowl legends. It's sad that it had to come to this ( Damn you frango and all you other quiters!) To those who remain, for now I will continue to check for online gamers in hope to find a worthy opponent. But eventually I too will retire. Tim, Detroit Kidd and other greats take care.
This saddens me, deeply. I may never play this again, it was good while it lasted. Thanks for all the games guys. I wasnt as good as you all, but i loved every second of it. TSB is over.
I still play time to time but not online. Unfortunately online play became stagnant due to lack of good players and constant quitting. For now the game is pretty much dead, but once they come out with the next version of the game (and I almost certain that they will)things will pick up again. So until then I bid all of you a good farewell.
