just got the new tecmo. but i am having a hard time creating a fast defensive player. I have an outside linebacker with 50 run speed, 75 max speed and 60 quickness. yet he still runs like he has a load in his pants. Two questions for you vets out there:
1) what ability should I juice in order to get my defensive guy to run fast
2) which abilities matter and which don't? Does rushing power mean anything or is it all about hitting power like in old tecmo?

Put as many points on RUN SPEED/MAX SPEED as possible and place the rest on HIT POWER. This is at startup without winning a single season. Keep in mind that the HITTING POWER is necessary for you to win in the tackle, otherwice you wouldn't have a defense at all. Win a couple of seasons to gain extra points and gradaually raise your RUSH POWER until your Base Attributes are all even. After the 2nd season you should have a pretty strong defense.
