Detroit and Striker,

I was wondering if anyone was still playing. I hope y'all are doing well. I have run into some 5500 level teams that quit on me, even when I have matched them evenly. Take Care!

Striker and I kinda have a gentleman's agreement to punt an onside kick in the first half if we recover. That's all that is.

Played two games last night against a Baltimore Bulldozer team stacked with some of the best college players from the past couple of years, including CJ Spiller, Golden Tate and Tim Tebow. They were at 7964 points.

The first was a match against my Texas Longhorns, which are at 6700 pts. I won 22-14 by taking advantage of some turnovers. I fell behind early 7-0 but methodically built a 16-7 halftime lead. Texas answered a 3rd quarter TD with two more FG's and held off the Bulldozers in the 4th for a 22-14 win.

Then I had to pull out Mark Ingram and the Huskies against the Bulldozers. The result was a 44-6 win after building 30-0 lead in the 1st quarter!

Good game...some turnovers at the end turned a game that was 14-7 in the third into a rout.

Matched Striker in three games tonight, going 1-2 against a really tough Striker strategy.

First game pit my Texas Longhorns against the Trenton Twelve. A couple of turnovers led to a 14-0 lead for Striker. After a score made it 14-7 in the third, Striker put two more TD's on the board for a 29-7 lead heading into the fourth. I tried to counter and got it down to 14, but could not do any more. A safety made the final 29-17 for the Twelve over the Longhorns.

The second game matched the St. Augustine Lions against the NJ Strikers. This was a heck of a game. Striker went up 7-0 and then 13-7 in the third. The Lions rallied with a tying TD in the third and the winning score with less than two minutes to go in the fourth, on a long pass on a second and one play. The final: 20-13 Lions.

The final game was a case of what goes around comes around. I have benefitted from many turnovers from Striker. This time the shoe was on the other foot in match between my Carolina Huskies and the Trenton Twelve. On the first play I fumbled and the Twelve took it in for a 7-0 lead. After a back and forth first half Striker was forced to punt with the game tied at 14-14. With just a few seconds to go my return man fumbled and the Twelve ran it for a TD with 3 seconds left. A surprising 2 pt. PAT made it 22-14 for the Twelve at the half. The Twelve scored after a long drive in the 3rd to make it 29-14. I answered with a TD and 2 pt. PAT to make it 29-22 heading into the 4th. Striker answered with another flawless drive, but a missed PAT left it 35-22. I put together a long drive and scored to make it 35-29, but failed to recover the onside kick. Another great win for the Trenton Twelve.

Striker, congrats on two wins, but also three great games. I don't like losing, but enjoyed the games. I hope all is well. Take care!

Matched up with Striker for two good games.

The first game was the first I had brought out my Miami Dolphins team, which is the 1972 team roster, the famous 17-0 team. It was a bizarre game and another that featured untimely turnovers. I trailed the NJ Strikers 14-6 at the half with my only score being a TD on a fumbled punt. NJ got the ball in the second half and was driving when the QB fumbled and I ran it to the ten. Two plays later and Larry Csonka scored on a pass from Bob Griese. A 2 pt. conversion tied it up. On Striker's next possession, the Dolphins' No Name Defense sacked the QB for a safety to make the score 16-14 Dolphins. Striker got one final opportunity in the 4th with a great drive to my ten yard line, but did not get off a FG before time expired, giving my Dolphins a 16-14 win in their debut.

The second game was a little bit of vindication for the Carolina Huskies against the Trenton Twelve, with my Huskies pulling away in the second half for a 35-21 win.

Both great games!

Most of the Tecmo Bowl players are those like me who had the original and Tecmo Super Bowl as a kid/teen. There are several bugs that are frustrating with Kickoff - just read through the forums if you have not discovered them.

One of those bugs is online play. Winning will get you 5 percent of your opponant's points while losing costs you 5 percent of yours. It has nothing to do with winning percentage, etc. However, if you quit, the game is not counted. So, many who are falling in the points, new to the game, or just annoying quit out of convenience. Therefore, many of the top players quit playing back in 2009. I have tried to get a group of good players back together, but with little response.

But you will enjoy games from Striker, Detroit Kid, and hopefully myself. We are not online all the time. Sometimes, letting us know when you are available is better than going online searching for a game. That's how you run into quitters.

Ran into Striker last night and had a really good game going until the online started to lag very badly. I think the score was like 10-6 or something with me ahead when the game cut off.

Striker, in the past your defense has always been good but your offense was lacking some punch. Now it seems as if your offense has picked up greatly and your points are up really high so you have added skill points to everyone. You made some good throws and catches in traffic double covered!!!! I definitely see the improvement that you have made. Good job!!!

Matched Striker in two games with my Carolina Huskies. It was the first time to play Striker in a while.

Game 1: The Huskies took on the Strikers in a very tough game. I trailed most of the way. It was 13-12 heading into the fourth when a defensive stand led to a Striker punt. I drove 80 yards for the go ahead TD and two point conversion. After another stand late in the fourth, I scored to put the game away at 27-13.

Game 2: My Huskies matched the Trenton 12. I don't know if I have played this well in a long time on offense. I led 36-8 at half time and won 50-14.

Great games, Striker. It was good to play you again and hope that you are doing well.

Matched the NJ Strikers with my Carolina Huskies, winning in OT 20-14. I went up 14-0 in the First, got the ball and drove for more, but missed a FG. Striker's defense took over and I could not move the ball as he got back in the game. He tied it with 40 seconds to go. In OT I got the ball deep in his territory after stopping him on 4th and 1. Ingram took it in for the game winner.

my team is the longhorns.my green bay team is at 7,800.My longhorn is at 8,430.if of all i don't onside kick.i like giving people a chance.if i lose i lose..Detroit kid if u want to face me than play me.i don't quit.why k master has told me that u quit to times on him.if ur blaming i won't play u at all
detroit.have won a game yesterday too.he quit when loseing 28-14 in the 4th.then i went with going easy on him won 19-7.for now on i will always u the longhorns

Frango, I don't quite understand your message. Are you or are you not the Green Bay DBacks/Green Bay Packers team?

And I have tried to face you. I see you online all the team and I send you invites. You never accept. Other times you are online and available I always get matched against the Green Bay team. And I have always won and the other guy always quits.

As far as KMaster is concerned I have never quit when playing him. LOL. I beat down KMaster with a 5600 team and he quit and he started to complain.

There is only 1 person right now playing that has beaten me and that person is Tim Marsh. Other than that no one has beaten me in months!!!

im not the guy that has the green bay team.like i said i use my longhorns alot.the only time i use green bay is that if i beat the person and there team is low then i use green bay.take care.how do i know u want to play me?

Played a 5300 pt. Baltimore Bulldozer team with my Carolina Huskies. I cannot believe that this guy did not quit! The final was 68-0. It was 33-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Matched Striker in two games, however the second one quit.

The first matched the Huskies against the Cape May Green Heads with my Huskies holding off a stron 4th quarter charge by the Green Heads to win 27-13.

The second was a match between the NJ Strikers and the historic 1972 Miami Dolphins. However the wifi quit after the first quarter with Striker leading 7-3.

Striker, I don't know what happened with the wifi at the quarter change. I went back on and you were in a game with someone else. I will match you with the team of your choice. You were playing a great game and we got disconnected.

tim, Yeah I dont know what happen the game just froze so i waited until it just kicked me off then i just did a auto search and played a random team

Matched Striker in a couple of games, at least I think that the Texas Rattlers were Striker's team.

The first game was a barnburner with the Texas Rattlers holding off a late surge by the Carolina Huskies to win 22-20. The game went back and forth, but the Rattler's successful 2 pt. conversions were the difference in a great back and forth game.

My Huskies got the win in a very similar game over the Trenton Twelve, winning 30-22. I stupidly threw a pass with 40 seconds left, got it intercepted and gave Striker another shot. His receivers make incredible catches and I almost blew it.
