It's supposed to be a Gears of War clone style.
If this looks identical to GOW, it will fail. To make it better or successful like/better than GOW. *When the player runs, allow for a running melee strike *Game should focus in use for heavy gunplay and melee attacks. Yeah if this is like GOW. Im going to be happy. GOW is a good game but has glitchers and slight design flaws that keep it from being play regularly.
Just bounced over here to check for a release date on this. (Remember GOW ripped RE4 first). I actually hope they copy the fluidness of the cover dynamic close along with adding major TEAM NINJA style. This game and NGS2 this fall is just what I want as a TECMO fan. (4 player co-op in Quantum Theory Tecmo!) Tecmo is my Fav! |

I'm really looking forward to this game but there are some things that bugged me about the Run N Gun gameplay video.
1. The way the enemies exploded when they get killed. Please change this to decapitations and the enemies bodies getting blown apart instead of them just blowing up. 2.Green blood. Change it please, anything but green blood. 3. The damage that the gun that the Main Character uses seems like it does little to no damage, i'm pretty sure Tecmo will change this but i'm just giving my opinion. These are my only real problems with how the game looks so far, other than that, it's perfect. This is my most anticipated game so far. |

i also agree w/ scarcrow703, but i have a few suggestions too:
1. pleeeaasee make this a co-op game. i heard on a recent review that it isn't. i suggest 4 player splitscreen online and offline [w/ bots]. people love options and this can be one of the biggest option a person can have. this feature has increase the popularity of many games such as halo, warhawk and many others. please, please consider this feature. 2. speaking of multiplayer. you should make the girl a playable character [like on ninja gaiden sigma]. it looks like this character is a stepping stone to make this game a little more different than gears of war. however, if people can't play as her, then you lose that big unique quality of the game. i think a few points of the game she should be utilize by the main player and/or a co-op buddy. 3. i agree w/ the melee attacks. you should be able to run and do a cool combo, this can also differentiate the game from Gears 4. from the trailers i saw, the bosses seems big, but if you can get some bigger that takes up huge portion of the screen. this can add to the gameplay i sign up to the forums mainly to make write this one message. i feel this game has a lot of potential but w/o co-op and online capabilities you lose the replay value and can lead to a failure of the game. potential games have fallen victim to this. such as heavenly sword: it had very good reviews about it's graphics, beautiful scenes and great voice acting. yet, it was too repetitive and wayyyy tooo short. wanted - had mediocre reviews but the absent of online and co-op destroyed its sales and review. hopefully someone will make these changes before its release. |

When i first heard of this game and saw the trailer, I did a backflip for the first time in my life and almost hit the back of my head.
Were finally gonna get a true GeOW styled exclusive. I got some great new ideas for the game and thought there could be some improvements in some areas too. 1. If Cid could punch cracked walls to traverse through the levels and even punch and knock down pillars and scaffoldings (destructable environments), this could be used in a good way for level complexivity. 2. There were some guns I noticed that didn't have a bullet track as you shot it and there was hardly any visual impact on the enemy. Ex. Shotgun would show several bullets flying thru the air and when they hit the wall or enemy, would see glowing holes or debris flying off enemy armor. Note that the gunshot sounds should = the power of gun. Im sure the fans would be satisfied with this implementation. 3. The level designs are gorgeous indeed. From the dark mysterious corners of the streets, to the elegamt beauty of the castle's interior, Awesome! Just one thing, since players are going to be spending most of their time inside the castle, It would be good to make outdoor parts of the castle like balconies th@ curve upwards like a spiral not too steep but leads to another part of the castle, and make a nice lightshow with a setting sun and crystal lights from the tower and a vast sight of city ruins. Gives players time to soak in and enjoy the beauty and scale and also gives them a breather from being indoors. AND it's just a suggestion. 4. The game is gonna need some likable, believable npc characters that Syd spends some time with other than Fillena. Some with a sense of humor in their own unique personality. Makes players feel the game isn't so intensely serious all the time. @ Scarecrow703 Some of your suggestions are rather narrow minded (no offense). I know it bugs you to see them do things a certain way in a game, but you can't tell them to change it as if they were making the game for you. You gotta keep the fans in mind. I agree with #1 on ur list but I would also include death animations of some enemies breaking into shards (like glass) when punched, slashed and shot. Gives players a feeling of enemy variety and not seeing the same old animation. I also agree wit #2 to an extent. The normal foes wit guns should have blood equal to their color and/or break into shards. Red isn't real enough for them. The bigger, black organic looking monsters should have red blood or ooze into black tar when they die. @ adpham2 1. Makes sense though they opted out of co-op to probrably have players focus on the deep story. So instead, they should make a Co-Op campaign SEPERATE from the main Campaign like what Uncharted 2 did. Lengthy, challenging, and keeping teamwork in mind. 3 to 4 Co-Op players would be good too. 2. I also agree with you on that too. But they should make her playable through specific parts of the game like if Fillena gets separated from Syd somewhere along their quest or in her own flashback. Team Tachyon (the devs of this game) said they wanted to keep the players focused on Syd for whatever reason. 3. The team has already done this... Go and youtube Quantum TGS 2009. 4. Once again I agree, There should just be som more strategy involved with taking down bigger bosses. That concludes my suggestions. I hope to god Team Tachyon sees and aknowledges our suggestions. |

I like this. or the developers could make a Transportable room. Behind the door, is totally black, if you walk through the door. It will teleport you to another dimension, the dimension will be like a Survival mini game. And if you pass the test, you'll see a door at the end of the test/journey, if you walk through the door, it will bring you back to the entrance you once used to enter the mysterious door. well...i m not as enthusiastic as some of you..
i have nothing against the "gear-of-war-like-moves".. it s more about the general game design.. some enemies look great in the TGS 2009 video (the big black monster is huge) but some others seem having been taken from the "Lord of the ring" (-_-) (i m thinking about the big guy with some kind of golden armor and helmet) it s too much of a paradox to me...(aliens versus tolkien...hum!) Moreover i didn t like the combo with the female character (when the main character just grabb her by the hair and throws her in the air like a bowling ball O.o) that s too childish too. Next is a Power Ranger special move i guess...I d rather have a good Dead or Alive 4 or 5 on my PS3...(or a Dead or alive xtrem beach volley) i wont buy that game (sorry Tecmo team...but i have to be honnest with you cause i love you) |
