I think that battle damaged clothes and bruises would be a good addition to the DOA series.

a good example of this is similar to what was done in the game "Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus"

And also like that seen in the anime "Ikki tousen"

And also the game version:

I think that this would fit the style of DOA perfectly and would be a good and unique addition to DOA.

Or like what was implemented in Fighting Vipers. Gran Turismo held off implemented battle damage physics but in the upcoming version, it will be done so hopefully Tecmo/Team Ninja could consider battle damage too (SC4 already implemented their own style (just stay away from MK style bloody splatters)

Soul calibur had really bad battle damage, the parts just suddenly disappear! I was thinking more like ripped clothes that blow in the wind and bruises, that would be a good feature for DOA if done in an anime style like ikki tousen to fit with DOA's anime image.

WinkI wouldn't want to see my Ayane or Kasumi bruised. Not my babes hehehe, Or even any of the ladies for that matter. But.........?!

IIRC some subtle battle damage is already implemented when you knock down Bass' shapoohat or Lei fang beret. So how about when you knock down Lei fang in just the right moment you unfurl her braids? Similar to Kasumi(if she is wearing a classic DOA1 hairstyle (replicating her DOA3 end movie), or in Ayane's case knock off her head band or Helena's bow. That would be nice "damage physiques" right?

And I previously mentioned, in the Danger Room, when you hit the exploding walls, some burn singed effects would be nice and a bit of "Ikki" damage. Then again there were attempts to localize the Ikkitousen fighting game which hit a brick wall with the ESRB due to all the "wardrobe" malfunction fan service. DOA4 is already M rated so would TECMO risk such a move?

Thats really sad that ESRB let games like GTA be released but can't handle a bit of skin being shown.

I completely agree. It would pull the player into the game more.

yeah, In Japan sex is very open and not a bad thing. The rest of the world really need to lighten up when they let games like GTA be released but not sexual games.

There was an ikki tousen game that had slightly too revealing battle damage that wasn't allowed to be released outside Japan, but its ok for me to beat a granma to death on saints row?? ..ok (o_O)

well, if the rumour that DOA is at E3 is true then it looks like all changes and updates have already been made! and if not, it looks like they'll never be made.
