Ok so I havent posted anything since 2004 but still read and visit the forums frequently.
I just want to know a few things about the new game.
I bought a 360 for DOA4 only and ... what a mistake.
I Don't want to start anything but I want enjoy a game not throw it accross the room.
I short this is what I need to know before ever supporting DOA again.

1 Does DOAD play like DOA4 DOA3 or DOA2HC ?

2 Has the game evolved past the "She kicks high" stigima ?

3 Do we have a REAL STORY MODE that could maybe bring some answers about DOATECH or anything ?

4 Solid controls on a handheld ?

5 Kasumi lifting Bass ???? (Still ?)

6 English Voices ? (DOA2HC had them whats the problem)

I Love DOA but I don't want to be burned again.

I just don't want DOA to fail because Tecmo diden't release this title for PS3 or 360

trust me man, I know how you felt on DOA 4, i had the same feeling.

However I would suggest you try this game

1. DOA D plays like DOA 4 using updated character movelist and animations. However the hold/counter plays like DOA 3 which is a wonderful thing.

2. She Kicks High!?

3. yes! if you are interested in the story, this game tells the whole chronicle story from DOA 1 to DOA 4. I think it uses the fmv rendered movies. It does have real time cutscenes however some scenes are still/figurine motion scenes:/ (which was nicely done) Best yet it explains the twisted plot, confusing story and plot holes.

4. In my opinion as I tried the 3DS. The circle pad is whack. Really really hard to get used to the sliding, the directional pad can also be used however playing on the d pad, just by the way it was designed could make your fingers slip off occasionally and worst if you sweat.

6. In my opinion the english voices are so much better, plus you can switch from japanese voices to english voices. And DOA2HC english voices was a joke.

don't worry you won't be burned again. DOA D content is like Mortal Kombat (mk9).

I need to get the game however I don't have a 3DS, and I'll make sure that once again DOA D becomes one of my first games for a console just like I previously did in the past.

Like you said if the counter system is like DOA3 it has eclipsed DOA4.

Now the only other problem is the 3DS.

This looks to be the onlty AAA title I want.

Having a DSi The lack of selection of non Mario or Cooking Mama type games was pathetic.

I will most likely buy the game to support DOA and then get the system.

same here man, i like the 3DS but Nintendo are only supporting the system with old skool games, just copy and paste man but in 3D.
DOA D is the only game I'm looking to buy.

However luckily 3DS is fully backwards compatible with DS games, so I will be picking up Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword and possible other good DS games.

I can agree with both of you guys Nintendo is playing the lets make the same Mario game again but add some 3D effects game plan a little to much. I got my 3DS when it was first release and the only title I pick up was Ridge Racer (Since I am a huge fan of the series) and now DoA Dimensions there are 3-5 more titles I want for the system at this moment other than that its pretty same o same o from Nintendo.
