Anyway, this isn't actually a news, the person is just speculating a rumour. He didn't post screenshots, videos or any evident to confirm that DOA5 is being in works. The only evidence that speculated if DOA5 was in the work was when a job vacancy was posted about someone working on a big project.


I'll be looking forward to DOA5 as long as it isn't aimed at DOA hardcore gamers again:/


I love Soul Calibur 4 and it's amazing graphics. But Namco seriously farked it up by turning it into an RPG Fighter:/

I thought doa 4 was perfect at the time it blew me away. first time i played doa and only one so far. I usually played 2d fighter games. I thought doa 4 was the best fighting game ever and stiil do (haven't played tekken 6 yet). I didn't think it was that bad. people who play fighting games usually have always play them so i didnt think it espieacly hard core. it was simple compared to some other real hardcore 2d games lol 2 girls made it to tournament final forget name of tourney.
i think its obvious doa 5 is coming out fans want ,it tecmo just got money from meger, doa4 sold well the question I want answered is wether it gonna come this gen or next gen

Well Johnny, you only started DOA from DOA4, but you wouldn't know why majority disliked the game.

To me, DOA2 is my favourite, but DOA3 is simply the best DOA game. Someone made an in-detailed comparison to DOA3 and DOA4 video on Youtube (not hard to find).
DOA4 was made for hardcore because of the re-tweaking of the counter system and battle system. The only way to win in DOA4 is to learn combo strings! Combo strings can easily deplete your health. If you know how to counter combo strings, then you are hardcore and the game was meant for you.


I seriously dislike DOA4 so much. It's meant to be Next Gen but absolutely doesn't even feel next gen! Just DOA2U+DOA3= DOA4 pre- next gen. Online was so badly design (I'm not talking about how it was constructed, because if you compare it to NGS2's online mode, you'll know DOA4 is by far better). But I'm talking about the stupid designed. If you host a game online and get defeated, the winner will take over your room and be the host and has the ability to change all settings. This is so FREAKING annoying, why would I want to host a game for people to play under my settings but get defeated and that winner takes over my room!???:/

Also for the contents, no new contents, just the same old cliche modes from previous DOA games. The story for DOA4 made absolutely no sense!


Again Itagaki almost killed DOA franchise with DOA4!
Let's just see what Hayashi will come up with DOA5.

Just recently, Dead or Alive: Paradise was announced for the PSP, which further fueled hopes of the Dead or Alive series making its way onto the PlayStation 3. Now, in the latest issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine, it’s been “rumored” that Dead or Alive 5 is in development on the PlayStation 3. Exactly what fans had been hoping for since Itagaki’s departure from TECMO.

Although this reveal was in the “Rumour Machine” section of the magazine, going by the other listed “rumors”, Dead or Alive 5 is as good as confirmed. Almost all other “rumors” listed have either been announced or have been discussed recently.

if DOA5 finally got announced I would die of excitement!! (^_^)

but when I read rumors about DOA5 from a few years ago it makes me think:

"if they said that then and its been 2 or 3 years with no word then maybe it'll still be another 2 or 3 years"

I think everyone is just hoping for a DOA5, Tecmo need to just announce it! or say "not anytime soon" so we will know either way!

even though it gets announced, it would be released by late 2011.
They just finished Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 end of 2009. DOA Paradise, nearly half of 2010 and working on Metroid Other M to be released nearly the same time as Ninja Gaiden 2.
So right now they are working on the mysterious game, so therefore it can't be released early 2011:/

but they could at least confirm it so we know its actually coming.
