I do feel that DOAX story should not collide with DOA because it doesn't make sense.
If Ayane so much hates Kasumi and wanted to kill her as a task, why didn't she do so in DOAX1 or DOAX2?


ALPHA-152: In Helena's FMV ending, you see Kasumi fighting Alpha in the burning building. I think the ceiling was collapsing, and Alpha did multiple backflips and flip off in the air.
Though the DOATEC building was destroyed, no indication was noted that Alpha is dead.
Ayane: Successfully took down DOATEC hosting DOA4 and stopped Kasumi from entering the burning building.
Grudges aside with Kasumi over or not?
Bass Armstrong: Same thing over, entering tournament just to stop daughter from becoming something foolish.
Why don't you allow Bass to enter the next tournament to take on a rival wrestler who always be-mean him back in the day or something.
Bayman: Deceased, died in the DOATEC Building.
Brad Wong: No aim, just drinking as usual. No story too.
Christie: Actually the best character in DOA4 who pretty much interacted with nearly all the characters in the game, in terms of story.
Eliot: Gen Fu's apprentice, finally becoming a true master like Gen Fu.
Ein/Hayate: Successfully took down DOATEC with 2 other ninjas. What next? Keep the hunt for Kasumi? Or forfeit it?
Why will you join the next DOA Tournament? Unless someone else host another DOA Tournament but isn't called DOATEC.
Helena: Wanted to kill all DOA contestants by blowing up the DOATEC building? Was saved by Zack when building was blowing up. So what's her future then? she regretted all the things DOATEC did so she blew up the building.
Hitomi: Will be back to challenge more fighters in DOA5.
Jann Lee: Same goes to Jan Lee
Kasumi: Will she hunt for her clone?

Watch Bayman's FMV ending again and see what happens.

*He's captured, DOATEC trying to break him (just like how the Agents did to Morphues in Matrix 1). Bayman loses control and had to stab himself so he could regain control of his mind. Ayane's ninpon explosion crumbles the whole building, you can see everyone in the room in-cluding Bayman were caught in the explosion. Even though Ayane's ninpo was not enough, Helena already activated the self destruct sequence. So there!

*Zack is not a comedian, it's just that things he does make him look stupid and ends up being funny.

*Lei Fang already proved herself to Jan Lee in DOA3. If you managed to beat Jan Lee without losing a healthbar, she'll say a different unique line.
And why does she needs to keep proving herself to Jan Lee in every DOA game? If you don't want something new then I suggest Team NINJA should stop making new DOA with no new features.

Zack is whats called "comic relief" which is where one character does all the jokes in order to lighten the mood of the game/anime/drama without taking away the seriousness of the main characters.

Ok Bayman is not confirmed dead. But watch his ending for DOA4 and tell me what happened. Looks like he died, unless Tecmo confirms he isn't dead by bringing him back to DOA5 and make up a ridiculous story to prove he didn't die from that denotation/ninpo.
I guess it's not confirmed that Kasumi defeated Ayane or Ayane defeated Kasumi in their show off for DOA3.
Sometimes you have to use your brain in this situation to make the story make sense. (now I'll go for the story that people say Resident Evil 2 takes place before Resident Evil3 even though Capcom haven't confirmed it yet).
