Tony Jaa is a rising star in Martial Arts world, if you haven't heard of him then you really need to stop living under the sour rock. Tony Jaa broke the record to the world in Ong Bak that made him known throughout the world and made his career successful. Rise and fall of Jaa ended up with the AMAZING Beastly movie Onk Bak 2 The Beginning in which many people who were looking for more "No stunts, No CG, No wires" were disappointed, however many martial arts fanatics such as myself were ridiculously blown away by the master piece! DOA is all about world martial artist taking part in a tournament to win special prizes. Zack is using Muay Thai martial arts so does that mean if Tony Jaa stars as a special guest character then there will be two characters using Mauy Thai? This shouldn't be a problem as Spartan Nicole in DOA4 had similar move list to Bass and Leon. Tony Jaa being a guest character in DOA 5 would further improve his career since his career is currently in danger or a mess ever since the contract disaster for Ong Bak 2 production. Many fans know Tony Jaa and he's currently the number one super star in the martial arts industry. I do think if Tony Jaa becomes a special guest character in DOA, it would make DOA franchise more popular than other 3D fighting games ever before. Since Hayashi strageitse that by making a DOA Loketest tournament campaign, hardcore fighting fans might consider DOA Dimension a tournament particpant at tournament events such as E.V.O. I don't know how I'm going to do this, but I'll try my best to pitch this idea to TK. I know they have to go through legal documents, communication with thailand, paper work and all that bull! But seriously...the vision I have with Tony Jaa in DOA5 will cause a great impact than you can just imagine. I also think if Tony Jaa does star as a special guest character in DOA 5, it might just put other fighting game with special guest characters as a step back. Because when we anticipate an upcoming fighting game, 40% fan do think about a special guest character rather than the next sequel itself; thus the special guest character they demand would be famous video game characters they all know and want to debut. This method can boost up the game's sales reference to Soul Calibur 2 selling more on Gamecube for having Link, though it would limit the fighting game from being popular. Let's say we have Jet Li in a fighting game like Virtua Fighter 6, many martial arts fan would remember Jet starring in a fighting game, the fighting video game fans would look up Jet li's back stories and movies. More over we would get more contribution and collaboration with movies and games together rather than video games making a game out of a Movie and turning out rubbish.

Sorry I don't feel like playing against him, not to mention selecting him.

I'm still up for this idea. Tony Jaa can be using the newly developed Martial Arts Nathayut or in English Khon as seen from Ong Bak 3. Nathayut consist of using dance move to over flow the enemy and counteract their attacks. It works similar to Tai Chi. The best example is to watch Jet Li's Tai Chi Master (Twin Warriors) and see how he mastered the Tai Chi in the end. Or just watch Ong Bak 3:/ This can be his costume 1. I'm hoping he gets this as his costume 2: I call it the Black Tusk. It's the scene when the King of Outlaw promotes Tien as the leader and the village people praises the Elephant as the Black Tusk. Obviously he must retain his classic casual street outfit from Ong Bak since many people would remember Ting wearing that. Can be his Costume 3. I wouldn't consider the white vest top because Jan Lee has similar costume and it's too casual and doesn't show much of design:/ Can be his last costume. Even though Tony Jaa can't be added to DOA 5, I wish Zack has a homage costume for him because Tony really represents Mauy Thai. In DOA 2 Zack actually had a costume homage to Shadow Man which I thought was Damn cool! About the fighting style, I believe it can interchange between movesets. I know in MK you can change to 3 different fighting style- 2 martial arts and 1 weapon martial arts. DOA doesn't have that thus incorporates all moves into one single set. So we can have Tony Jaa in DOA using 'Nathayut' (Ong Bak 3), Muay Thai Boran (Ong Bak 1) and Ancient Mauy Thai or muaykodchasarn/Elephant Boxing (Tom Yum Goong). He can also use various martial arts as seen from Ong Bak 2 such as Drunken Muay Thai, Tiger claw, MMA/Judo, White Crane Fist.

I like this idea, and the effort put into these posts. With all the costume ideas and everything. This charecter could make a fit, there are multiple charecters already that share similar traits and styles, so it really wouldn't take away from Zach.

lol I read the thread title and almost facepalmed, then I thought okay may aswell read. You've made an interesting case. They would have to approach this similar to how they created Jann Lee. I would like to see a character that uses his style of Muay Thai. His style is brutal and it would be a good fit for the series.

My vote definitely goes for Tony. He's a tough guy, a perfect choice for Dead Or Alive 5.

http://www.vg247.com/2012/01/1...12-from-studio-hive/ I won't be needing this anymore! although I'm still game for this idea if it can be implemented. I'm so excited that Ong Bak game will be made. (excluding the Thai version)
