Just a few old ghost visit this forum from time to time.

Jims sight is a good one and he does not ask you to read forum guide lines all the time.

Sorry that I did not answer your post quicker but could not remember my login. Its been more than a coulpe of years since I played, but still have a soft spot for the game. Even have my breeding notes saved in notebooks.Good luck playing GR99.

Gallop Racer 99 came out a couple of months before Christmas of 1998. Having found The very old TECMO GALLOP RACER of long ago, that forum was very alive with many post per hour. It was all new and alive. Everyone shared, the times would get faster and the numbers kept getting higher. No one knew when it would end with all the increases, the sky became the limit and we all wanted to be the first to get their.

Sounds like it was great Era of GR99 Smiler

too bad i didnt have a PC when i first play the game in those years (99-00) .

The only thing i was able to remind is my Superhorse i had back then . Was a 131-98 horses and i thought it was good till a month ago.

So I discovered many old Forum a month ago and i Saw that people were able to get horse like 150-150 . I was way far from a good Horse lol .

So i bought back a Gr99 last month and im back to achieve what i didnt do 9 years ago lol , a great horse.

That 2 week i havent stop playing and i must say it is a real good game even nearly 10 years later. Good thing i still had that old Ps1 memory card .

Thx and in your Honor Ill name my first 150 horse ''DIRTRACER ''

Let me help you out with how to breed the best gallopracer 99 horses. First off forget the numbers as a way to measure success. The final numbers of 150/150 are not important if the horse underperforms. The best breeders learned to trade cards and run races with other breeders. The horses that are bred to win at high odds preform at a higher level than their numbers would indicate. Remember that the best that you will be able to get is 150/150 so put only the fastest most talented horse that can overcome the odds into breeding program.

Yours Truely, DirtRacer

Good thing i was able to read a bit of ure old messge before they delete it .

I really like the post where u talked about gamess horse . Horse that can win at 10-1 odds or better .

I did have two line that give me real good game horse (winning big race at 10-1 easily and even winning the Star of USA with odds of 28-1 ) All at hard mode.

I really apreciate horse like Loud Groove , martiall bull , Night Falcon ,(and big opal too but this one i take him for is 20 spy) .

I was reading ure Stamina post where u where talking of Stamina beeing the key to success , but they delete all the post that day damnnn lol . I really like the way u explain thing , really bad they delete all the post with ure information.

Im getting not bad in the game all my result are at jims boards on yuku.

If u want to take a look and give some comments or Help ill aprreciate it.

THx

sry if my english sounds bad lol

The 4 studs that you name are all dirt horses. They all have a little magic. The trick was to cross them onto a turf loving mare, that didnt take to much of that magic away. Most fell in love with KAMS CROWN, but she being a free horse you got to figure that she added some problems. Kams Crown also can tho the WHITES. My guess is that she contained no magic to add to the mix, just a good breeder that added numbers quick.

Sorry but I forgot my pass word to COUGERS site years ago. Good site because he has saved many of the old files. Anything said hear on TECMO will someday be axed.
