Considering the long history of the series, wouldn't it make sense to release versions of this iconic game on Xbox Live or Playstation Network?
Monster generation could be done with saved games, trophies/achievements, friends and all manner of downloadable content available through either of those fine services. |

Story:
After the great war, the people and the monsters achieved a peaceful co-existence. Working together to rebuild their fallen society, they began to excavate the ruins and learn of their long history. Studying ancient discs, artifacts and tomes the people learned of a lost city far to the south that is home to the Temple of Denis. Sealed within the temple is a vast library of ancient monsters, including those that were once servants to the gods. The story begins as a team of researchers unleash one of these ancient monsters that brings terror to the world. Game Setting: A growing town and outpost near the Temple of Denis, filled with researchers, scientists and government personnel. Item shops, Shrines and Storage Chambers are included. More locations unlock as the game progresses. Character Design: Character creation is optional, but the main characters primary goal is the raising of monsters found in the Temple. Working from an expandable ranch, with a group of assistants, breeders, and other personnel. The main character's training of a monster is the primary form of gameplay. Combat & Training: A small 3d environment that allows freedom of movement and alternate angles of attack would constitute the area for training and combat. Attacks would be mapped to the four main buttons on either controller, with the ability to switch attacks mapped to the upper buttons. Close, medium and long range attacks would work in a series of concentric circles around a central point on the map. Natural environments, arenas and ancient ruins can all serve as backgrounds. Training options could include navigating through various obstacle courses, completing challenges and facing other monsters in tests of skill. The use of attacks and abilities for purposes other then attack could also be include. Disc Stones, Artifacts & Tomes Monster generation through Disc Stones would be the most common, using CD/Dvd/Game discs would allow for many monsters from the entire series to be included. Artifacts Trophies/Achievements and other unlockable content earned in other games could be accessed by Monster Ranchers. Special breeds, hidden monsters and other content is easily hidden in a vast system like the ones available. Tomes Saved games, music files, videos, backgrounds and other downloadable content could also shelter monsters. Online Combat, monster trading, and co-op monster raising could all be accessed through a convenient online feature that will unite its players in an entertaining and user friendly environment. Tecmo could also sponsor monthly tournaments against its developers and creators. Just some thoughts |

It sounds good. But never go for Live! Arcade. If you aren't connected to the 'net, you can't play the games. Castle Crashers is a good example. It reverts to a "demo" even though you own the game, when you aren't connected to the 'net. Ridiculous. The concept is sound, and I like the idea. I'm more a fan of the traditional raising methods however. I would definitely download it for a reasonable price. Just steer clear of Live! Arcade. Horrible.

To fix that you only have to delete the game then re-download it, then you can play it even if you aren't connected. This happen when you change the console, because the original copiright for the game is keep on the first console you download it so if you delete and re-download it would be ok.
AND YES, hey tecmo what's happen to monster rancher you have a great game and with the power of nexgen consoles and broadband you can make a hit/best game of the year here!" just think a bout it!" |
