i own atleast 3 copies of the first two series of monster rancher and i have played the game since i was in high schoool, even now that i am working i am still playing it. most specially the monster rancher 2 game. among all the monster rancher series this is, what all have mentioned here in the forum already after having read them all is by far the best, for its gameplay, the depth of how you play it, animation, charater design etc. it is the most challenging among all of its franchise, there is the cool factor from the monster designs, techniques, its executions, and the unpredictability of the game, no real storyline, meaning no ending just play with all the monsters, explore, make much strongers monster and discover how to unlock their techniques. this what made this game cool for me,i have many things to say but all of the readers here already know about it. the fact also that the game was made to be taken seriously was what made it cool. i agree with the other posters in this forum that the games that followed did actually become some sort of degraded. deteriorated. in the sense that the cool factor of the monsters looks, and their techniques was downright made for kids below 6 year olds. the reason for my post is to make a plea to tecmo of making a monster rancher game in the more powerful platforms such as ps 2 and 3 with the same gameplay with the monster rancher 2 series, only this time make some additional improvements like include all the monsters, in all the other monster rancher games, an if possible have it online, where in we can compete with other players and show-off our hard trained monsters, have an updatable system where we can get new regions to explore, new tournments we can enter, and items we can win, that are rare and unique. what a game this would be. monster rancher has big potential if this goes to be online game. there will be no limit of the world in which it can move, more players will want to play because of the idea you have trained the monster yourself and let the others see what you have created, is what makes monster rancher a game that will not stop to be played because there is no real ending, as long as your can produce and make strong monsters and compete with ohters with that monster and be the strongest is a never ending inspiration to all fanatics of this game.

I too enjoy the monster Rancher games. I think my favorite was 4 though.
As fer as your whole "there should be an online Monster Rancher Game" there is one. It's called Monster Farm Online. It's Japanese only. http://www.mf-online.jp/index.aspx I've watched the trailer for it and it looks awesome. It's been out since around the end of 2007 I think. I WISH THERE WAS A US OR INTERNATIONAL VERSION!!! It looks fantastic though. I would either like for them to make an international version OR to release the game on Xbox 360 and PS3 with the option of playing on single player OR online with other people. I think it would be awesome. If they made one for Xbox 360 or international PC version...I think I would possibly play both. lol |

Ever since I heard about Monster Farm Online back in 2007 I was all excited thinking a US version would follow. I'm sure you know the disappointment I have known since then. I'm with a lot of people in agreeing that Tecmo needs to bring Monster Rancher to PC or the PS3 for the US. Especially if they are smart and revert back to the styles of MR1 and MR2 or even MR4. There are a large number of dedicated fans to this game, so what do you say Tecmo, it certainly wouldn't hurt you if you gave it a try!!
I'm in a world...where monster rule.. |

No Monster Rancher title using disc based generation can operate on a Xbox 360. Don't know how many times I'll have to type it on these forums. When you eject a disc on the 360, it takes you back to the Xbox menu. It could never work. I think we should get all English speaking Monster Rancher fans to bug Tecmo about a Monster Rancher Online English translation. It would be my most played mmo. And while you can't generate the monsters themselves from discs, you can generate their subtypes and stats from discs. We want Monster Rancher Online!

Again, fapop, look at my other post. Just because FFXIII, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, etc. have the option to change from one disc to another, does not mean it can handle 100 discs in an hour.

making a monster rancher for one of the newer consoles is a great idea, specially if you make them go back to MR1 and MR2 style
regarding the issue of disc generation monsters, i think ps3 is capable of it and if its not... then we'll just have to live without it (i know its a big hit towards the game's over all greatness, but what can we do if the consoles cant handle it) anyway, nothing will happen unless we contact Tecmo itself so unless any any of you have connections, its wont happen guys |

If we want a MR in a next gen platform we need to make some noise, and be heard!"
I would love a next gen. monter rancher with the gameplay of monster rancher 2, i love all the sorprizes i have with that game, just do a better exploration, not just that dungeon minigame, and make it online to exchange monsters, items, and even to combine monsters betwen players (my best monster and my friend's best monster = 2 better monsters) and of course to fight in the arena, make online events and special awards like especial items and monsters and do it for both xbox and playstation, so anyone can play it please Tecmo, don't let this awesome game down!" i hope someone from tecmo see this!" |

The PS3 is indeed capable of disc generation. I play MR and MR2 on it all the time. And Tecmo really does need to make a new one. And not with those cursed numerical/alphabetical generation styles. Those are ridiculous. Disc generation is where it's at. |
