It would be more than possible. The PS3 can run MR and MR2 perfectly. I have to disagree with the no connectivity though. Online is perfect for the type of game Monster Rancher is. You could combine monsters with friends, battle them for fun, trade items, participate in real time tournaments. It's just perfect. Of course, all this would be optional. No need to use the online part if you didn't want to.
I hope tecmo listens to all of us and makes a monster rancher for ps3 and makes it like monster rancher 2. I think they should make it to where you only train 2 or 3 monsters at a time because some of us have a hard time keeping up with 5.
Well you didn't have to train 5. It just opened up the option to do so. So, you could choose to only ever train 3 at a time. Either way Tecmo should at least end the series on PS3, not DS. It's a nice little game, but the allure of discs is where the fun of Monster Rancher has always been. With a blu-ray player, the PS3 has the ability to utilize every disc media, save mini or UMD.
