It comes from Kotaku who hasn't been all that friendly to Tecmo in the past few months but it is someone thing to pay attention to.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Lord Dorkus,
Well this might mark the end of me being a long time fan. I personally don't like Square/Enix and just about all their games as well. Unless they can snag up Itagaki and allow him to control that portion of the company then this will probably be the end of the road for me and Tecmo. I've been on the Tecmo forums since 1999 or 2000 (I can't even remember anymore lol) despite my signature saying 2001 because I could never remember my original password for my first username. This is probably the final nail in the coffin for me and the Tecmo I once knew. The president resigned, Itagaki is gone and is sueing the company, and now Square is trying to take the company over. Yeah, that will just about do it. Gaming has changed a lot since then and has just gotten more disappointing as the years have gone on... maybe I'm just getting old. lol
come on dude tecmo is like the underground.......I hate sports games but I hope the new Tecmo Bowl beats tha hell out of EA. Plus Trapt and Deception ROCK!!!!! They did the Ninja Gaiden guy wrong.....though

I wouldn't bail out just yet. This deal can fall through. Even if SE takes over there is a chance that things will remain the same...well hopefully with a stronger HD gaming focus.

I'm not going anywhere just yet. I'll at least wait till all this comes to fruition. I still need to see what Tecmo is going to show off at TGS. I just hope what they show isn't a bunch of Wii and handheld stuff.
The Koei merger is much more inline with something I can agree with. It will allow both companies to strengthen while allowing each to retain their identities. The Square-Enix takeover is much more like what EA does which is not something I can get behind.
