I'm sorry for littering this forum with topics like this, but I promise this too be the last one. Before I begin I just want to say one thing; Xino, I apologize for my behavior from before. While I still think my ideas will work in Ninja Gaiden the way I acted was immature. You can say whatever you want about me apologizing, but I just wanted to get that out of the way.
------------- Story You've heard it before: A large multi-national PMC company is trying to create the ultimate bioweapon using fiend DNA and an item containing the power of the Dragons (the Dragon's Egg). When Ryu attempts to confront this PMC he gets captured by an ambush set up by the Black Spider Clan and new greater fiends far more powerful then any he faced before. Overwhelmed Ryu is defeated and his DNA is taken and used for fiend/bioweapon project, Sigma. Ryu is rescued by a unknown kunoichi, Tomoe, who knows about the connection between the PMC and the Black Spider clan. Ryu and Tomoe retreat to Hayabusa village where Sonia is waiting to inform the Dragon Ninja of the PMC's global attacks against the world powers with the help of the Black Spider and Greater Fiends. So Ryu forms his own alliance with his good friend, Hayate, and his clan to fight back against the PMC group in a shadow war. Together, Ryu and his allies will travel across the globe and destroy the PMC before Sigma is complete and darkness covers the planet. I went in this direction because the last two games we seen only ninjas and fiends as Ryu's enemy. For NGIII the next enemy should be someone outside the shadows of the shinobi world. Originally I wanted DOATEC to be the main enemy, but Xino is right when he said DOA shouldn't be mixed too much with Ninja Gaiden, it will cause the game too lose its own individuality. Just because they share the same universe doesn't mean everything DOA has to be added in NG. So the enemy PMC is a different company that shares the same goals as DOATEC. Characters These include new characters as well as old. Some are playable in Team Missions and some are bosses. Tomoe: A kunoichi that saved Ryu from the PMC early in the game. She was the student of Genshin much like Momiji was in Dragon Blade for the DS. After Genshin was killed, a new leader was selected in his place but Tomoe thinks he isn't fit to replace Genshin. Tomoe later tries to assassinate the new leader but fails and is now considered an enemy to the clan. Tomoe goes into hiding before being killed by the Black Spider clan. Knowing that she won't able to kill the leader on her own Tomoe frees Ryu and uses his fight against the PMC and fiends to try and kill the leader. Tomoe is my idea of replacing Ayane from Ninja Gaiden. Both a cold and closed off from others with methods for helping Ryu remaining unknown. I wish to see Tomoe as a reusable villian in future Ninja Gaiden games. She will be playble in Team Missions and her main weapon will be two Katars. Matsu: A former Hayabusa ninja, Matsu now has become a Dragon monk, where all ninjas retire to clean off the blood from their past lifes as shinobi. He along with other Dragon Monks are meant to protect the Dragon Egg but it was stolen by the PMC and an army of fiends. Matsu blames himself for the Dragon Egg's theift and takes up his sword again to redeem himself and his failure. Matsu is just to satisfy those who wish to play as Muramasa. I don't think the shop keeper should be playable because of his age. I do consider Matsu to be old, but he's still young enough to keep up Ryu and the others. The monks are mostly modeled after the Sohei. Matsu's weapon of choice is an Odachi. Daisuke: A Yamabushi whose tribe resides in the slopes of Mount Fuji. Daisuke's job is to keep the balance of nature in check and this often leads his tribe to kill Fiends like the ninja. While both ninja and yamabushi kill Fiends, the yamabushi only kill Fiends when they threathen nature's balance. Daisuke views Sigma as violation to nature's order and sides with the ninja to destroy Sigma. Daisuke's main weapon is a Zanbato. I know what you're thinking: what the hell does the Yamabushi have to do with ninjas? To be honest, nothing really. But just like Rachel, who isn't a ninja either, I would like to see another faction other then a ninja added to the game to offer something new and unique. Sonia: Returning from NG2, the CIA send Sonia to bring down the PMC due to her experience with Fiends and ninjas from her last operation. To help give her a fighting chance the CIA suit Sonia with a powered exoskeleton, which gives her increased strength and act as armor for protection. Sonia joins Ryu's crusade as a thank you for saving her in the underworld. Her main weapon is a Pistol Sword. I believe it was Xino who said that Ninja Gaiden was a world where you struggle to survive. So I figured if Sonia was to return then she would have to make a few changes before she could return. This is where the powered suit comes in; now she can fight the ninja and fiends on an even playing field. The whole "save the helpless girl" thing doesn't suit her, since we know Sonia is more then capable of protecting herself (she only needed saving before because she lost her guns). Ezekiel: The CEO of the PMC. Cold and heartless, Ezekiel will do whatever it takes to get what he wants even sacrificing his own soilders. He comes from a long line of knights known for fighting countless battles and taking countless lives. He dresses in knights armor made from the scales of the Dark Dragon. His main weapons are a broadsword and shield with a ringed blade along it's edge. Ezekiel is the only boss, other then Tomoe, that will be playable in Team Missions (except he'll die in the game while Tomoe will survive). As for why the whole knight concept; this is just like Yamabushi, I want there to be more then just ninjas that Ryu has to fight. I'm afraid this will make the franchise dull, so I think more enemies other ninjas and fiends should be included to give new life into the game. Momiji: The miko of Hayabusa village and former student of Ryu. She is considered to be the "big sister" by the youth of the village. Momiji nurses Ryu back to health once after his escape from the PMC and joins him in the war. Her returning weapon will be the naginata. To me Momiji makes a good subsititue for Kasumi. Both are kind hearted but since Kasumi is a DOA character I'm afraid she shouldn't be a huge part of the NG games. So for now, Momiji will just have to fill that spot for Kasumi. Rachel: A Fiend hunter and close friend to Ryu. She spent her life hunting down fiends in search for her lost sister. I believe Rachel should remain in NG games due to her popularity amoung Team Ninja fans. Removing her will only upset the fans and in the rare case hurt Ninja Gaiden as a whole. Lets just face facts; Rachel holds a place in Ninja Gaiden fan's hearts and if people still want her as a playable character then Team Ninja will most likely keep using her. As for DOA characters such as Kasumi and Ayane, if the fans want them included then Team Ninja should add them due to popular demand. I personally would like to see Kasumi and Ayane in a different game from DOA but I want to see them in a game of their own like the long over due Code Cronus. Until that game's fate is determined I'm going to have to say that the DOA ninjas should be included. BUT it should only be in NG3! That's it!! If you want to play as Kasumi, Ayane, or even Hayate then demand that Team Ninja get to work on code Cronus!! Kasumi: I don't want to write her bio because of the uncertain message of her appearence in sigma 2. Will she be a DLC or a playable character in NG3, I'm not sure. But one thing I do want her to have in any game is that her weapon be a Shinken. Ayane: Same as Kasumi; she should be in her own game where she doesn't have to share the spotlight with Ryu (Code Cronus). Her weapons should remain the Kodachi pair. Hayate: Again, Code Cronus. Main weapons should be a Itachi and Wakatachi pair. Greater Fiends Caturix: Ruler of War Svantovit: Master of Conquest Domitian: Ruler of Famine Memitim: Ruler of Death To those who are saying: "What?! Another four Greater Fiends?! What the hell man?!" I chose four because I based them on the Four Horsemen. We all know that Fiends are based on real demons like Vampires, werewolfs, Incubis, devils, etc. and what better demons to base Greater fiends on then ones who will bring the end of the world? And this will also give Team Ninja an easier time on the designs. For example Caturix; his character revolves around war, so his designs may be based on Vikings or another culture centered around war. Or Memitim; his designs may come from the grim reaper or possibly angels of death. Of course these wouldn't be the only bosses in the game: there will also be Tomoe and Ezekiel as well as other powerful fiends. New Weapons Twin Hooks Sansetsukon Kanabo Battle Ax (suggestively from the Vikings) Halberd Sai These are weapons for Ryu to use, not the other characters I listed. New Locations These are areas from around the world that I think would be interesting to see in NG3. The middle east Scandinavia (SP?) Africa Shangai Washington DC Nepal or Mount Everest Gameplay Changes The Camera and Dodging: We all have heard how the camera is "flawed" and doesn't work in the game and I agree. I've seen it in different Ninja Cinema videos that people never use it use in combat and suffer from attacks that came off screen or struggle to move past object in the way while dodging enemies. So my solution to this problem is that the camera be fixed and follow you around. We seen this done in other games like Bayonetta and Dante's Inferno, and it works. This would be easier for the player to keep track of the enemy. As for what the right analog stick's use, that will be used to dodge. Find yourself in tight spot? With one flick of the right analog stick you can jump to safety and use the left bumper to deliver a counter attack. Using the left bumper seemed more fit to use as an offensive rather then a defensive, so this way you still can dodge attacks, perform combos, and still see all the action. Better Ninja Sense: With the camera fixed you might think finding collective items like Crystal Skulls will never work. So how about using your ninja sense instead to find the right path to a location, you can use the ninja sense to detect where the item can be located. It won't show you where exactly the item is, but which direction you should look. So when you pass a certain location in a level, a sound will alert you of a crystal skulls location. You press the right bumper to show you where you should begin to look. After that it's up to you to find out how to get to that skull. Hack and Slash only I'm sorry, but the FPS element in aiming has to go. Simple fix, just have Ryu automatically shoot any airbourne enemy down. We know Ryu can do this; all you have to do is pull the right trigger and Ryu will shoot any nearby enemy. Bone Shattering Grabs and Pressing OT's Obliterations are way too easy. You just perform an attack, an enemy looses a limb, and press triangle. Team Ninja needs to add some challenge to this and here's how I think they should do it: like how the Kusari-gama has it's own grab movesets that takes off an enemies arm and leg every weapon should move sets like this. Instead of an enemy loosing his limbs after a certain number of attacks you have to perform a certain combo to do this. And once you chop off said limb you press triangle to perform an obliteration button mashing minigame. If an enemy loose his legs, he will block Ryu's attack with his swords or claws. If he looses his arm, the enemy will go desperate, and attacks Ryu in a flurry of strikes. You keep pressing the triangle button until you finish off the enemy for good. Simple. Gliding This will be a ability only Ryu can perform himself. We've seen countless time Ryu gliding in midair and I want this to be playable for the player. By jumping over a ledge Ryu will glide to the another building, or across mountain cliffs. This will replace the need to cross over by ropes. To steer you could use Project Natal's motion sensors by holding the controller and steer Ryu from place to place or the Siaxx controller's motion control if NG3 appears on the PS3. And to twist it up a bit this can be a new form of combat as well. While gliding Fiends will appear to try shooting you down. You glide towards an enemy and grab it by the neck and the fiend fly around trying to knock you off. You draw out a kunai and can either stab the fiend to a direction you want to go by hitting the light attack button and steer with the left analog stick, or kill it quick by hitting the heavy attack button and leaping off and glide to your next target. Team Missions The co-op I can say is a hit to many Ninja Gaiden fans. But we need more options to keep us interested. Why not include Time Attack modes or something like that? The whole Horde like style of Team Missions gets old very quickly. Chapter Selections: With the large cast I listed above we need to keep them from taking too much room away from Ryu. So instead of the chapter challenge replace it with a selection menu containing the different missions of the different characters. The main story mode will contain Ryu's adventure and the Chapter Selection mode will contain all the other character's stories. Moving Maker Ninja Ninja cinema seems a little too boring. Why not include the option to edit our movies with different screening choices and changing the camera angle? Or slowmotion to show off a neat combo you performed? This would be a cool way to show your skills to everyone. Armored Ninja Now this is just me, but I really dislike Ryu's current outfit. What real man wears leather like that? So, why not have Ryu suited up with a set of ninja armor (yes, ninja wore armor). This could work within the story, as Ryu wears armor in preperation for the shadow war. Again, this is just my opinion, and Team Ninja can keep the outfit if they want. ------------------- There you have it. And I like your idea for Tomoe replacing Ayane. I don't know why Team NINJA keeps on adding Ayane to NG, whereas we can't even hint on any of her personal motives why she aids Hayabusa clan. But I don't get the deal with the Dragon Egg? But I do like Matsu going back to shinobi style. Greatly reminds me of Hitman 2's story. And I like how Matsu will be Muramasa playable. People want Muramasa playable but can't even brain storm his gameplay: will he be moving slow? if he moves fast how is that possible because he is old, how strong will he be? etc Daisuke's tribe resides in the slopes of Mount Fuji??? You do know that Mount Fuji is close to Hayabusa's home and we travelled nearly around it in NG2. I still think Sonia being playable is stupid. This is becoming too much like Devil May Cry/Bayonetta style. But its alright, but I just don't like the fact that Sonia can now battle on her own. She's meant to be Irene 2.0, someone who needs to be saved by Ryu. Initially Sonia should be Ryu's love life like Irene. (I said that the NG is a world of survival as a reference to what Itagaki said.) And the PMC (what do they stand for again) and Ezekiel mixture seems weird. How will Domitian control Famine? Cause Ryu to go hungry?:P GAMEPLAY I still say No to the camera design. If it follows you around is even worst because if it's fixed and you are close to a corner, how will the camera switch to a better view? This has always been the main problem with fixed camera back in the day. Bayonetta uses Free form Camera. But Dante's Inferno use of static camera is alright because it merges so well with the gameplay. As for NG, what if I wanted to wall+attack? If the camera is fixed, how would I know where a projectile is coming from? Or if I want to rotate the camera to see the archer behind me. Using the Right analog stick will not work because in NG you can only dodge in 3 angles, left right or forward not backwards. And it will be awkward using the right analogue because facing the direction to dodge varies in Ryu's facing position. I disagree with the Ninja Sense to sense items. Items are easy to find and are so open. I don't know how people can miss Murasama's blue statue in NGS2:/ But I can agree it's best to give you hint where scarabs might be. I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU ON THE NEW OT. If you Izuna Drop an enemy, their head pops! It's the same thing with Flying Swallow. What if I can perform X+X+Y just to remove the leg! Wolverine's Origin used a better dismemberment style. And I agree with counter attack for OT on enemies. But better yet, instead of them just doing it like that. Why don't we say when Ryu is about to OT an enemy, the enemy will counter it, however you have to counter back to perform the OT by inputting the right QTE on screen. NG needs QTE. I'm sceptical about the Gliding thing. Ryu only does it if he's really high in the air. We should be able to do the gliding if the world is vastly big. Like jumping down from the tallest building in Spiderman 2 game. But I just want Gliding gameplay even though Toshiro3 feels it's over used. Like Ninja Blade style. And Ryu only does Gliding when he's falling down. Armored Ninja. Instead of actually giving Ryu ninja Armour. Why can't we just be able to costumaise Ryu's whole outfit? Like how you can do in Halo 3 and Ninja Blade. NB has awesome costume customization |

It's all three; Fiends, Soldiers, and Ninjas. But I don't get the deal with the Dragon Egg? It's a powerful item that contains the very life source of the Dragons. Anyone who holds it has the power of a god, unlike the Demon Statue which just seems to be a seal or key. The PMC uses this like how lightning is used in Frankenstein; to give Sigma new life and near limitless power. Daisuke's tribe resides in the slopes of Mount Fuji??? The Yamabushi are the highlanders of Japan; warriors who reside in the mountains. I would have chose a different mountain but that would make it difficult getting Daisuke and Ryu to meet. And what's wierd about Ezekiel and him being the CEO? Why don't you say it was made from a forbidden evil dragon that was banished by Virgoorian or something Because what source of great evil would the Vigoor banish? I think they would make it their official symbol. But I chose that direction because you said that anything Vigoor is old news. I know the Dark Dragon is old too, but at least this time it's not important in terms of the story. Rachel again? It's not about popularity is that she's there all the time and it's getting old. Stuff like diseases, locusts, toxic material, these kind of things. I'm sure the other three speak for themselves. I disagree with the Ninja Sense to sense items. Why can't we just be able to costumaise Ryu's whole outfit? Like how you can do in Halo 3 and Ninja Blade. Ironically I chose not to go in that direction because I thought it would make Ninja Gaiden too much like an RPG. But I completely agree!! you know, Ryu has all means of transportation, it's not like he has to get everywhere on foot. He can go all the way to New York for crying out loud! Doesn't matter where Daisuke lives, Mt. Akina, or Mt. Everest, either way, Ryu can still somehow meet him. hey, I was writing a Muramasa gameplay the other day, but it got deleted. I'm lazy and I don't want to retype it, but if you want me to, I will rewrite it just so that you all can read it. |

The story was broken. The statue of liberty fell into the water and after Rachel's ordeal, we mysteriously see the statue back:/ I mean if Team NINJA continues to make dumb @ss mistakes that doesn't make sense, then their future games will be doomed. I mean you already have a template game Ninja Gaiden 2, some additional story were added. Such as Ryu fighting Statue of Libtery, from your own idea, you completely mess it up by leaving a plot hole, how the Statue of Liberty got back on land when it died inside the water previously. I'm sure the other three speak for themselves. No the others don't speak for themselves. Caturix: Ruler of War Svantovit: Master of Conquest Domitian: Ruler of Famine Memitim: Ruler of Death You are forgetting their traits and what their abilities are capable of. Alexi is ruler of lighting, he cotrols anything to do with electricity or lighting/thunder. So how does Memitim control Death? If Memitim could do that then there wouldn't be a game now would there? No, his powers range from controling ice as a symbol of the cold embrace of death to summoning ghosts and undead to fight along side him. Caturix's powers are just raw destruction. He's able to cause explosions in almost any direction and can rain down large chuncks of molten metal from the sky. He's also the only of the four fiends who uses a weapon, a warhammer much like the one Thor uses only more powerful. |

Yes but it's still stupid. Because if Memitim is fighting against Rule he will have no chance because he doesn't have any power to defend himself rather than summon the undead or revive them.
But why in the world would ruler of Death control ice seriously I know that death associates with cold, but doesn't necessary come in form of ice or relates to ice:/ (unless you can provide a reference that shows someone having death power use ice as an attack) Basically you are cold, cold hearted, dead cold. You have no soul that will keep your body warm. That's what it means. Though Caturix is the only one with valuable trait that makes sense also in form of his name. The only Greater Fiends I think are unreliable are Svantovit: Master of Conquest and Memitim: Ruler of Death |

Memitim can still work. Instead of ice he can control shades, not shadows mind you, souls trapped within the underworld and forced to do his bidding like acting as a shield or an extension for his arms to grab Ryu across the area. And if that isn't enough then he just control a weapon like Caturix, but I want to avoid the scythe because that sounds too much like Volf. Maybe a Trident or Pitchfork?
Svantovit is the most powerful of the fiends. While some of the fiends have a weapon they can use, Svantovit can not only use multiple weapons but control them in supernatural ways. He can summon, for example, a swarm of swords that together form a crown and break apart to attack Ryu. These weapons can fly around, shoot up from the ground, nearly everything you can think of. |
