What do you feel when you hear he is back?


Well, to me personally, I'm actually grateful and happy he's back with the rest of the teams.
He's dissings are back, as you can tell from the interview, he already made a diss on the Dynasty Warriors game:P



I know to all the fans of Itagaki, they will solely happy.
But get this:


"1UP: Could you give me a year when you plan for your next game to be complete?

revenge of course , but what he said about the xbox360 is what I have most interest in. he knows how to make a game play greatly but is he going to make games that have some stupid story like team ninja (he himself) used to do .
I always sensed some competetion between him and Yosuke
can't wait to see the outcome of this revenge and surpass battle .

nah I don't think he'll be looking for revenge. He's goal will be to create a great game that will stand out of other games and make people forget about Ninja Gaiden and DOA. Because they are the ones that quit, they didn't get fired, so no need for revenge.

Will it be an Action game or another cliche WW2 game?

Well to tell the truth I have low expectations for itagaki .
I mean for example look at team platinum , they left capcom to work on their own but non of them surpassed him self and his projects with capcom . and itagaki is no longer a hardcore game producer as he once was, he's into too much stuff other than games . I thing he gave all he can give in NG and DOA, as for NG there is Hayashi who has proven more capable of itagaki to work on it .

i think only time will tell

Now VGA 2009 is here and there are 2 mystery titles to be shown.

You might not know, some developers are pretty fast at making games, so we could see some footage of TN's new game.

not trying to be a troll, but WHO cares about Itagaki. He's no longer doing ninja gaiden. It's ryu hayabusa and the storyline we care about, not Itagaki.

and lol @ revenge. Revenge would be like breaking into his previous place of employment and putting graffiti all over the walls, not finding a new job.

Medal of Honor has a big fanbase and it's easily looking to be an awesome shooter.
Batman: Arkham Asylum was critically acclaimed as one of the best games in 2009. I would argue it could have gotten GOTY as well if Uncharted 2 didn't release then.

It's sequel announcement is HUGE, maybe not to you but it's still a massive announcement after the incredible success and first real batman game true to the comics in a very long time if ever.

Star Wars Force Unleashed 2 was also another big surprise to me but all in all VGA 2009 did not disappoint. Hopefully Tecmo waits before making another ninja gaiden. So far there's been 3 NG games straight: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1: July 2007, NG2: June 2008, NGS2 September 2009.

The good thing is, it looks and will play better than WET.

Itagaki said he wants to be competitive with the shooter, so I'm expecting the shooting for this game to be unique.

Vanquish's shooter look generic, but there's something about the way the guy shoots and the bullet spraying.


10% currently done, and we should expect it in 2years time.
Why bother showing us a footage if it's 10% done? same thing they did with Bodycount.

Though I think multiplayer will be a big aspect of this game.

all developers do this, remember final fantasy 13 and final fantasy versus 13? Both were announced at 2006 and has shown some footage here and there. took about 4 years for one(although i'd probably argue that the 360 version held back FF13 from being a worldwide release at december 2009) and versus will probably not release until late 2011.

Point to announcing games early and showing footage early is the same for photoshopping fake images of sequel games; to get the hype up and get people, most importantly, to talk about it.

It's a pretty common stunt in the gaming world and mostly everywhere today.

i get what you are saying, but example like Bodycount.
Showing off the footage doesn't impresses anything, it looks too generic!

but anyway, they still have a long way to go, so it should get better, hope no delays too.
