| Will hayashi succeed with NG3? | Login/Join |

Hello fellow NG fans and gamers alike, as you know by the title, this is me ranting about NG3 being good or not. So lets get into it: (Note: please go view xinos rant about ninja gaiden sigma 2 being better than ninja gaiden 2 and all that good stuff because this rant wont make sense since i will mostly be talking about how NG 2 was such a fail and i will also be talking about the chances of success NG 3 will have) Here is the link to view NG3 gameplay:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIchYieqYig Anyway, back to the rant at hand. As you can clearly see in the video, enemies and bosses will block and try to dodge your attacks and enemies are not around every corner ala NG2. But the enemies at 51:25 seem to mostly grab ryu at any possibility, but other than that, the gameplay looks good. Where as NG2 had missile spam, IS spam and as well the A.I being cheap as well as them not even blocking, NGS2 and NGB had smart A.I (by this I mean them blocking your attacks). So this is the end of my rant, please comment because this took along time to write and tell me your opinions. Peace out. thanks for the shout out man. From my point of view I don't see it as Hayashi "making" NG3 alone (Itagaki making NG/2 and Hayashi making NG3). I see it as Team NINJA, Hayashi isn't even the director for this game as it is Masako (I believe I spelt his name right or Makaso?). Hayashi is just the producer and the spokesperson for the game to the public. Though he is one of the key staffs who thinks about what makes NG Ninja Gaiden, what works for NG3 and the concept of NG3 and its Steel on Bone. I will look at it as old skool Team NINJA with Itagaki and team and "new era" Team NINJA with Hayahsi, classic teams and new breeds. From countless copy and paste London gameplay which I've grown tired off, it leaves an impression on me that it won't be as good as NGB/NGS. After seeing Chapter 2 which blew me away, I know this game will be better than NGB/NGS. Thinking about your question: will NG3 succeed? I believe not. But after witnessing Ayane in NG3, I know this game will succeed! So much stuff Hayashi has said and also "confirmed" to interviewers and presses based upon NG3. He says a lot of things not to *spoil* the surprise for the game. For an example he said countless times that DOA will not be in the game, and in Chapter 2 we have Ayane. So who knows what other cool surprises they have in store for us. I believe (as well with others) that Rachel might not be in NG3 because she has no connections with fiends and thus fiends do not exist in NG3. Again Hayashi confirming that fiends will not be in the game, however Ryu transforms into a "demon/fiend" towards the end of the game. The lady who shouted "murderer" at the end of the Consequences trailer does not sound like Mizuki, Ayane nor Momiji. It could even be Kasumi's voice! Remember that the trailer was in English and Japanese female voices sometimes gets that young child like female voice. Kasumi is young and that voice sort of matches her. No other weapons apart from Swords, what if there is a nice surprise in the game? After seeing Ayane, I just don't trust or believe anymore things Hayashi says  because I know he wants to surprise us.In fact the man is full of surprises: NGS2 content brought out lots of surprises from the comic prologue book to storymode. I nearly believe that there will be 1 ninpo in the game because Ryu transforms into a fire dragon. But there are other ninpos in the game thanks to the Multiplayer. Yes I say it: NG3 will be better than NGB/NGS and will be successful. Many will not like it obviously but mark my words, this game will spawn a whole lot of fans thanks to the Hero mode. People who could not finish NGB/NGS could not see why we love Ryu Hayabusa so much and why we favour NG over GOW and DMC. When they too finally finishes NG3, they will be here with us But one thing that p*sses me of is when I am proved wrong! Sometimes you taste a little preview of a game and you are gratified that it will be amazing-10/10-GOTY. Finally after playing it you end up disappointed. I put trust in Team NINJA and NG3 to blow me away and be better than NGS. If NG3 fails I won't have the fandom and joy of the franchise anymore. | |||

I think that it will be a success for Ninja Gaiden as a Franchise. But, if you are going to compare the success of other games, it wont be a big hit. (These games never are) But for Ninja Gaiden I think it will succeed. The overall response will prolly be good but there will be those people who claim that its not NG without this, that or the other.(though for me if it has Hayabusa and quick combat its Ninja Gaiden.) The debbie downers will of course, be downers. I had to flee other boards over Metroid Other M. Has anyone here played it? Team Ninjas part was amazing! And to add, IMO nothing can beat NG Black. Not to take away from the other NG titles, but I love Black. Though it does now feel kind of slow compared to NG2. | |||
