I'm really pumped for Sigma 2. I'm very optimistic that many issues will be addressed to enhance the gameplay.

I was wondering if there was any source for info yet on the subject.

I'm hoping for a few things.

-Enemy tracking. Whether it's throws, strikes or projectiles the enemy tracking is way overboard. Dashing or jumping for positioning is very inconsistant because over half the time, attacks are gonna be there already waiting for you. Even mid combo dodges, will still leave you in harm's way of the enemies magnetic combos.

-The dash stinks. Mostly a side effect of foolish enemy tracking, but the roll was much better.

-Consistant enemy damage. Some times an explosive shuriken does little to no damage other times it'll take half your life. I'm still trying to figure out what the modifier is.

-Getting pinged in the back with explosive shuriken while blocking. I know technically he wouldn't be blocking them but really, you can't block everywhere at once.

-Huge recovery frames on many moves. Many of the counter hits, UTs and even just dashing leave you vulnerable to throws for a few frames in their recovery. It's strange being punished by throws for landing a succesful counter. You should recover at neutral.

Most of my complaints are for MNM only but that's difficulty I like and it's clear the game was mostly tested at the Warrior level.

Uroroborus, from the trailer you can see that Team NINJA had addressed several issues:

*I'm not fully sure on this but the constant enemy rushing is gone, they brought back the Ninja Gaiden 1's enemy screen attacking. Meaning if you move the camera to face an enemy, the enemy will engage towards you rather than the enemy attacking off screen.
*The dash is now removed and replaced with the roll again
*

IS ninjas' main tactic is to run around you throwing their IS while one of them will rush towards you to do a guard-break. your main defense(or counter-attack) will be the one doing the melee on you. if you guillotine throw him you can guarantee no damage from explosion. izuna drop(not the mid air combo) also avoids damage. when you're about to explode while on air just press Y(will do landing attack) and you'll get less damage. if you got hit by the explosion(on air), most of the time, you can do the on-landing move(or UT). it's also worth learning when to use X or Y attack/counter-atack. dashing can also be a teleporting trick if timed correctly(yeah you can actually dash towards an attacking enemy). windrun(X+A) is your "target lock" when doing jump attack or head stomp to avoid being cornered. NG2 has faster and more aggressive combat that makes rolling ineffective. you have to be patient and think fast at the same time.

using those tactics just to avoid the shurken explosions is ridiculous!

In NG1, you can do the above, and also roll or perform a wall attack to avoid taking damage by the shuriken explosion. I like this one better!

Playing Sigma now...Hayashi did fark off half of NG system:/ They removed the introduction cutscene and combo meter:/
People nowadays don't read manuals anymore, I've stop doing it too:/

the effectiveness of flying bird attacks in NG1 is one of its inferiority to NG2's balance in combat(as well as flying swallow). spamming these moves is lazy,non-stylish and easily becomes boring.

i don't read manuals or strategy guides. i've learned those tactics from my own experience.

you are missing the point I'm trying to prove.
You were talking about avoiding damage when you get struck with the explosive shuriken, and I counter it by saying NG1 is better because you can avoid it many ways.

Now you are talking about spamming moves and use of effectiveness. If using the flying swallow makes you lazy and makes it boring, then I could say the same about spamming the Izuna Drop.
Flying swallow in NG1 was superior, in NG2 you perform it and ALWAYS get hit or struck with an explosive shuriken.

I was referring to the manual, because they took off the introduction cutscene in Sigma and wrote it down in the manual.
