NG3 is getting quite a lot of attention from the media and it's already promising to be one of the best action games of 2012. With TGS over and from what I've seen so far it looks like it could get above a 9 from popular media networks.
Possible pros: Totally Badass! BRILLIANT combat. A worthy improvement from the previous installments. Great story and presentation. Great action. Possible flaws: Lacks weapons and strategic elements (in comparison to other NGs) Multiplayer not as good as single player (gameplay) Not many single player modes or replayability/could be repeptitive. Might be lacking in enemy types. So far we've only seen terrorists...Or just a lot less types of enemies than previous NGs. Weak non-combat gameplay elements. My ratings (from what I've played): NGB...9.8/10 NGS...10/10 NGDS...9.0/10 NGS2...9.2/10 My possible NG3 rating...9.4/10 This message has been edited. Last edited by: Scribble_OUT, |

well my perspective it will be mixed reviews.
Honest opinions were given for NGBlack, same goes to NGSigma. But Microsoft paid a lot of top gaming sites like IGN to give a good review for NG2. No one talked about controller input delays, lame graphics, bad level designs, slows downs and bugs, repetitive boring gameplay. It just depends on who reviews NG3, if its a NG2 fanboy that reviews NG3 the author will give the game a bad score. If its your Average Joe, author would give the game 9/10 or 8/10. Games that gets a 10/10 are paid reviewers. My Rating: NGB: 10/10 NGS: 9/10 NG2: 6/10 NGS2: 8/10 NG3: 9/10 (10/10 if they nail the online connection) I can't comment about the pros or cons. |

NG= 9/10, The learning curve at the start kept it at a 9.
NGB= 10/10, new camera, missions, enemies, costumes, weapons... NGS= 9/10, left things out but still. NGDS= 10/10, honestly IMO, best DS Game. NG2= 8/10, great but the frame rate drops blew my mind. NGS2= 9/10, better play, but still had issues, why leave things out?? NG3= We shall see, but I am gonna say I have high hopes... |

I think NG3 will end up with 8.8 overall score. Not quite 9 but a little over 8.5.
these days with crappy reviewers that dunno what they're on about I can't put faith they'd judge the game correctly. but 8.8/10.0 is a good enough score for this title. |

thinking about this game, I don't think it would triumph over NGB. NGB is just too good and perfect. The Mission Mode are hell difficult man and I couldn't even finish them all!
But I believe that NG3 might actually be the real and best definitive edition to get. NGS2 was great with the exclusive ladies and Team missions. NGS2's difficulty peak was at Master Ninja's 1 hit death and Ultimate Missions. Man I love UN2 so much, it's like a Non-Stop Climax action gameplay. I can say that NGB/NGS and NGS2 are the definitive recommended editions right now. Everyone should think of NGS as HD Port of NGB, you either need one of the games. NGS2 is a must have definitive title because of the contents and the new introduction of online play which is team mission co-op. It still plays exactly like NG2 with few tweaks, no blood, content removals but it has the same gameplay epitome of NG2. NG3's story mode seems to focus on immersion with its gameplay, basically allowing us to feel the violence and connect with protagonist Ryu. But I think this single player is limiting freedom of what we could do compared to NGB. But why I say NG3 will be the definitive edition is the amount of content. This game is being brushed up like a AAA (not a AAA) title. The online is the biggest aspect of NG3 featuring multiplayer versus matches in which majority has been asking for years! And a co-op we experienced from NGS2. DLC contents will only be for online portion, distributing new skins, costumes, Kanji, weapon???, challenges and characters. Its really hard to predict how this game would turn out. The biggest thing I'm very excited for NG3 is the online but all my enthusiastism can easily be crushed with its bad netcode |
