Ok I had enough of this milking stuff from developers especially when they think UK is a land of gold to farm money from us gamers.

You must understand this that we cannot allow developers to push us around with game contents.


We have the Collectors Edition and Regular Edition.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Collectors Edition
JAP's collection includes soundtrack, comic, art book, costume DLC code, game guide and keyring.
US's collecttion edition has the same things as JAP but without the keyring add ons.
UK's collection edition is exactly the same thing with US.
Although all 3 regional versions have different boxart designs.

As for the pricing, the UK cost £40 for collectors edition.



Yes the collectors edition may sound nice and has some bargain value to it but let's look at the content we'll get if we had purchased the regular version

Regular Version £32 and under!
Has the prologue comic "vampire wars" unlocked at start, infact you get it with sound effects and voice acting (I'll take this over reading a comic). Soundtracks are already in game, you can listen to them in the Options menu, best yet, some of the tracks in game are not even in the SoundTrack 2 disc like the Tengu's Brother shinkj... (remix) music theme.
You won't get the exclusive Ryu Ancient costume.

In the US, if you buy the regular edition on day of release or week of release, you'll get a DLC promotion code to download Ryu's Ancient costume from PSN. Though after the first week, the code will not be included, reason why most people don't have it (as they don't know what a special limited offer is yet...).



Costume DLC $3.99 £3.19
They've released 1 pack of character's DLC that includes costumes for all the girls and Ryu's Ancient Costume again. If you had purchased NGS2 Regular Edition late and missed out the promotion code. This will be perfect for you, because all the costumes will be new to you.

For us who purchased the C.E's and R.E on time, what we get out of the Costume DLC are just the girl's costume since we already have Ryu's Ancient costume. Plus the price is really expensive! I mean £3.19 for 3 new costumes and 1 extra we already have. Sorry but costume packs should only cost £2.99 and below! And I can use £3.19 to enjoy a regular sized chinese food "sweet and sour or chicken fried rice meal".

Thinking more about this costume just makes me think that Ninja Gaiden 2's Xbox costume DLC is much better. 200points just for 1 costume with 5 different colours.
To me Fiend costume is the best looking since I had this promotional code for it in NG2, and colour 5 was the best looking since it made Fiend RYu look like a mummy.

I mean they should know 75% of people who have had this Ryu's Ancient Costume. It would have been best if they added a black colour version or just had separate DLC.



So what is all this? if you don't get the point I'm trying to make then you are not catching up!
My point are:
There's absouletly no point in buying the Collector's Edition since half of the content are already included in the Regular Edition. Only things missing are the art book/concept art and game guide. What good is a game guide? and the game guide wasn't even in-detailed! (where the hell are all the skulls? I'm missing one!).

Again I'm trying to make point that, you could have bought NGS2's regular edition late, so that you would have missed the promotional code. In the end the Costume pack DLC will be worth it to you.



Next time Developers or Tecmo pull off this kind of stuff, STOP and look at what you are doing. If it's a money making content, I suggest you boycott their products.

1. collectors edition is for the collectors. You're not supposed to buy it unless you're a collector and you don't care about prices.

2. The price of the costumes were very reasonable in my opinion. And I am willing to pay the same price or more if there is more content to come.

3. I pre-orderd my copy and also paid for the recent new costumes and I am content with my purchases.

Actually Collectors Edition has a whole new meaning now, it isn't just for people who collect stuff. Since developers are so greedy for the past few years, collectors edition means nothing. Nowadays from 2008 onwards developers are starting to roll the dice with big collectors edition. Because before C.E only contains art book, making off and commentary and that's it. But now, they are starting to include more stuff such as figurines, display sets, special video etc.


Sorry but the price of the costumes were not reasonable, you have to remember the purpose of a costume. It's just to make the character look different and give it a fresh look when you play the game. Remember Soul Calibur 4's milking costume sets? I paid for the first release set which was a classic costume sets from Soul Calibur 2. It included about 4 items for I think 200points.
£3.19 is too much, if you live in the UK, you'll know that £3 is expensive! I can use £3 to buy a nice fast junk food!
£3 just for 3 costumes that makes the character look fresh and 1 you've already had. Like I said before, if you missed the promotional code, the costume pack will be worth it. And as for us, it's a rip off!


Well you must really be a fan of Ninja Gaiden games or Tecmo games. I have waited for this game ever since I heard of it coming to PS3, and sold my Xbawks 360 and got a ps3 instead. I'm glad I bought the game and played it, but not happy with the marketing moves!

Well I forget the price of the costumes after tax. $5.00 or something like that, but you can't get decent fast food for that price in the US, or at least not where I live. But it was reasonable in my opinion. Had it been $10 or $15 I would have still paid for them.

I felt lucky to have the collector's edition costume and thought that only who bought the CE have it, but now everybody could have it (isnt unique anymore..) and if i want the girls costume I must buy the Ryu's costume that I already bought! :s Is not fair ):

Exactly!

I mean they said buy the Collectors Edition and recieve a special costume for Ryu.
That is cancelled out because in US, people who buys the regular edition will get the special costume anyway.
And now, if you didn't buy the game at first 2 week release, you'll get the special costume+girls costume for a good worth it price.


I mean Collectors Edition supposed to have something special that regular collectors do not have and that special thing will force them to get a collectors edition instead.


All I know is, if developers or Tecmo try to pull off this kind of rip off bullsh* again, I'm not even gonna buy the regular edition, but I'll only buy the regular edition 3 weeks later. Because I tired of developers ripping us off, especially in the UK, yet games get released late for us. FFS!

It's exactly the same thing with next gen games, you spend $60 on a game with no farking unlockable contents or DLC. Just campaign mode is available. Games like Ninja Blade!

I didn't, the only good one is Ayane's and even then it's just a costume. Not worth my pennies.
