So far we haven't seen much of NG3's weapons so we can only speculate and hope what weapons we will get to use. While NG/B/S had a retro/classic style and NG2/S2 was more fiendish and futuristic, NG3 looks very modern and realistic.
The visceral feeling of killing an enemy doesn't have to be just through cutting, it could also be through crushing! (This could have a similar sound effect to steel on bone) I'm not making an unrealistic suggestion, I think this is very possible for Ninja Gaiden 3.

My suggestions on weapons to bring back:
The Kusari-gama <---This really needs to be in NG3
Falcon's talons <---This also really needs to be in NG3
Vigorian Flail or a new nunchaku-type weapon with a new name
Lunar Staff or a spear-type weapon for steel on bone
Tonfa

New weapons:
Hammer! A new crushing weapon. Similar to the War Hammer but this time you can here enemies' bones' break. I think this would be easy to add to the game and will fit well into NG3's gameplay.

New swords (hopefully Team Ninja will be creative here)

All new heavy sword to take after the Dabilahro and Enma's Fang

Giant Shuriken! I had this idea since NG2. tI seemed like the only ninja weapon that hasn't been in a ninja gaiden game
My ideas: It would be very unique and very balanced. It would be extremely fast (faster than the VF) as Ryu spins it round hitting enemies. The weapon has 2 shurikens which spin around one pivot (like a clock); during combos Ryu can separate them with one on each hand and attack. Range attacks will be possible (like the kusari-gama or windmill shuriken), Ryu would be able to throw it at enemies and make it come back ofcourse.
I know this seems very unrealistic for NG3 but I would love to use it. I'm just suggesting for it to be in the game. NG has the classic ninja weapons, then NG2 brought more ninja weapons so I think NG3 should have this!

because you seem to be talking about a Gaint Shuriken with other SHuriken attached to it.

What's not to get? That image is actually very accurate to my description though I haven't seen Naruto.

Image is very nice and very close to Naruto's image and shows his reflection in it.

Windmill shuriken and dual swords, and i'm a happy camper.

Bring back the lunar staff, the falcons talons would be cool for steel on bone and a huge sword for ryu to wield

old weapons as DLC? I like it. But will the weapons be usable in storymode or online? Everyone should start talking about the weapons they particularly want back! (weapon topics)

I mean personally I can't decide and it depends on the original weapons already in Multiplayer on disk and if Team NINJA would make weapon packs as DLC.


I want Team NINJA to bring back 3 different weapons in form of Heavy Double handed weapon, short range single handed sword and fast single handed sword.
For each type I want:
*Heavy sword- Dabilahro
*Short handed- Virgoorian Flails, if Flails is already in game then Claws instead
*Fast weapon- Kusarigama


I chose those weapons because they are also balanced for online play.

If they going to release dlc weapons i hope they do a package instead of 1 weapon. FREE would be nice to.
