wow, I'm so excited. I believe you all are too. so I already pre-ordered NGS2 from GameStop.com and will receive the bonus costume!!! People, don't waste your money on the game guide, it's basically worthless, the fun is when you figure the game out yourself, when you actually struggle to find the Skulls, and besides, you can get plenty of help free online. So that's my advice and I hope you all get a copy of the game and like/love it.

what kind of an advice is that!? O_o I say people should get the Game Guide, because there are newbs who will find this game hard and stop playing it because it was just too hard for them. Game Guide also offers nice tips and stuff you'll never know, some guides even spoil downloadable contents or next game to be released. It's true that you can find help online, but how good are they!? You see people trying to help others by typing in binary languages. ID, FS, OL, UT etc. People don't understand those dumb abbreviated words.

well, if you don't have enough skills to complete the game on your own then you should go play easier games until you get good enough, besides, there is the Ninja Dog difficulty if you truly have problems. ok, yes, maybe the guide has some nice content, but is it really worth the money? or, if you have to get the guide, then wait until you beat the game, or get stuck somewhere before you open the guide. for NGS, a lot of people had a hard time beating Alma, so I guess that would be a great time to read the guide. One thing though, once you have the guide, what's the probability that you will read forward to the chapters you have not reached? Wouldn't this take out the fun of surprises? Isn't it more fun if you don't know to save up essence, then have to try hard to get more essence?

From Demo 720p (vs 1120x585 on X360) and with MSAA x2. 1080p output by default with software upscaleThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Lord Dorkus,

with all due respect, don't tell me what to do. I love NG, but I also get the SG. There's just many stuff I can learn and figure out. I invested money in a game that alot of people just want to chop peoples heads off, watch the blood drip, and all that. NG doesn't necessarily have a outstanding story so it's not like I'm missing out. Pre-ordering the collectors edition either tomorrow or the weekend.

Other things about the demo. The first cutscenes in the game. On the PS3 the cutscenes are locked at 30FPS On the 360 the cutscenes go from 60FPS to 30FPS back to 60FPS. The lighting during at the old man shop which runs at 60fps on the 360 and 30 on PS3 is an improvement on the PS3 over the 360 version and looks less game-like or should I say closer to the standards set this gen. I think by looking at it that it was the right decision. You have no control over these parts so locking them at 30fps makes sense...slow down anywhere else is a problem though. There are other visual differences that are hard pin-point what is going in one or the other but there will be pleny of comparison soon. It's also the lighting from the moon is represented better in the PS3 version. It's light shines more on objects. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Lord Dorkus,

Saying it's better over 360 is really subjective. I'll wait to see what more pro reviews state. One gave it a 87 so far.

All I am talking about is the graphics I said nothing about quality of the game and just pointed out on the added effects in cut scenes. That is it. I'm just making a graphical comparison. The fact that it already runs at a higher resolution gives it a leg up in the graphical department. The question is if removing much of the gore helped to improve the games performance.

yea I did notice some 30fps in the intro cutscene. Like how Sonia moved didn't quite move in 60fps, or even the blossom leaves. But anyone who says the 360 graphis is better than the PS3 version is completely retarded, period. The lightning is 10x better, I mean when you see the crystal skulls with those two archers, you can see the glowing all over the wall and stuff. I just love how the in-game moves at 60fps! So smooth, the after images for all characters are amazing, they are so soft and fluid! It runs in 720p Trust me, you'll need the guide! Ultimate Ninja Missions are insane like hell. Fight Volf, Alexi and Elizabeth. MY GOODNESS! I'll definitely need a guide for this. Plus Mentor and Master NInja mode do HARD damages to you.

Anyway I stand buy what I said, the better lighting is instantly noticeable and would have been appreciated. It does appear that there is a different design philosophy going on between the two.

Guess we'll have to see for the full version if it does. :P Anyway, hearing some mix thoughts on the game. Some people say the demo has a little more refined difficulty where it's tougher like NG1 on Xbox. and some quirks with the camera and stuff.

Finally watchd the video, very interesting. Glad to know that blood hasn't completely left NG future titles. I hope Ninja Gaiden 3 on both platforms has a good amount of it, while having a good look like Sigma 2. I know I'm reaching for the stars here, but anything is possible.

the demo is great ,the game will be great. I still have some trouble adobting to the new weapones and new combat features, but I like it. am I wrong by saying that sigma seems to me harder than sigma 2? About that camera focus when you perform an oblitration tech. , it makes it look silly. I don't want to see Ryu perform it as if it's a dance he like to jump around doing it, but I want to see Ryu hit the enimies with it, and that focus leaves them out the view , is it because the area is small , or is it allways like this? can I do something about it ? other than that it's all great. PS: that six-axis bouncing feature is barely noticeable.

Nah Sigma isn't harder than Sigma 2. You can't make those claims unless you've experienced both games in Master Ninja Mode. People say NG2's Master NInja mode is cheap and hard. Well I say Sigma's Master NInja fiend challeneges is harder than NG2 MN. Because of fighting 3 berserkers at the same time, slow downs from crazy attacks and explosions. This was how the stupid offscreen attacking and spamming started, from Sigma 1 and it was brought to NG2. Despair how can you not like the camera close-up to Obliteration Techniques? Unless you mean without the blood:/ Nope you can't do anything about it as it's meant to be like that. I'm sure this version is the early E3 version. Because the sixaxis breast was there, but I had to shake the controller like crazy just to see it work. But the breast only bounce miniature:/ The latest build looks like the axis is really sensitive.

oh, I thought the Obliteration Technique only did the close up occasionally. Like the Guillotine Throw sometimes had a slight close up, or Rachel's move when she flips over the enemy hooking her war hammer to the enemy's neck.
|
| Tina |
Actually, it's not that farfetched to assume that Sigma 2 could in fact be alot easier compared to Sigma 1, it would also back up Tecmo's decision to appeal to more audience. Also, I really don't see what bringing up NG2 has to do with Sigma 2. Besides the story and weapons, the games are totally different.

I'm sorry I meant to say the camera zoom in on Ryu when he performs the "UT" SORRY. It really gets me out of the excitement every time I do it. I can't even see the enemie getting hit! But still I think the zoom in and focus on the oblitration tech. should have less zooming in and more of changing the angle to make it look better from far observation, this way you can still keep an eye on the other enemies.
|
| Tina |
the UT having the zoom is much better than without the zoom, it shows the details of the moves done to the enemy (and you don't need to see the other enemies while performing a UT because they can't do anything to you) The UT's zoom is also occasional, if you do two or three in a row, Ryu will do the UT without a zoom. and some weapons don't have zooms.
