I'm new to these forums, so I apologize for posting this if the same topic already exists.

As an owner of both the PS3 and 360, I have had the pleasure of playing both versions of the Ninja Gaiden sequel. Sigma 2 may not have had the blood and gore like the original, but it made up for it with the new co-op content and still played like I remembered it on the 360. But I still crave for more and this is a list of things I wish to be included in Ninja Gaiden 3.

1. Why not make DOATEC the next enemy for the next game? We saw in DOA4 the ninja attacking the company in various endings but it seems they may have survived (the New York level in NGII). This would expand the enemy roster by including DOA Troopers (Ayane's and Hayate's DOA4 ending) and those gyrocopters (Ryu's DOA4 ending) along with enemy ninja and fiends. Also DOATEC may still be trying to create the ultimate bio-weapon like Alpha and Omega but by using Fiend DNA or something; that to me would be a threat as big as the Archfiend.

2. Make the co-op a part of the main game. The way they did co-op in Sigma 2 was great, but I would have loved to see Momiji, Ayane, and Rachel actually join Ryu in his mission. But to keep the game from becoming too easy you have to unlock the co-op story when you beat game on the normal setting and play it on a more diffcult setting.

3. I loved playing as Ayane and Momiji (sorry Rachel, but you aren't my type) and to see a certain runaway ninja make a cameo gave me high hopes that DOA and NG wouldn't end as Itagaki wanted it too. But now I would love to see the cast get even bigger. Include Kasumi and Hayate as playable characters, and this wouldn't be a problem with the story idea I suggested above. I think if Kasumi can kill her own uncle (Raidou) she wouldn't have any trouble killing Fiends and Hayate's crusade against DOATEC is more then enough to have him team up with Ryu.

4. I never really cared for Sonia since she mostly fought from behind the scenes and needed saving most of the time. So I would like to see new characters that not only make their presense known but can actually provide some help to Ryu. I have two characters already in mind and Team Ninja, if you are truly reading this feel free to use them. Tomoe, a kunoichi who once served the Black Spider clan. She served Genshin as his second-in-command but left the clan after discovering Genshin's plans to bring back the Archfiend. She helps Ryu as a way of redemption for her clan's dark past. Ezekiel, a paladin who hunts down fiends like Rachel. His home country was attacked by the Vigoor Empire when he was young and has since then hated the empire and fiends alike. After discovering DOATEC's attempts he joins Ryu to destroy the bioweapon. He fights using a broadsword and shield only his shield has a blade's edge that he can use to attack as well as defend.

There you have it. I know they aren't much, but I still think these alone would make Ninja Gaiden 3 just as great if not better then the previous installments in the series. If you also have any ideas go ahead and post here and maybe Tecmo will include them in the next game.

1.DOATEC is associated with DOA or DOA games/tournament.
This is NG set in the past before DOA. It's best to make NG 3 a prequel to DOA, because the classic had 3 series. After NG3 then they can make the story to take place during DOA or after DOA.
And DOAEQ in NG2's New York, that's how DOATEC started before they were a bigger organisation (remember DOA takes place after NG). And what does EQ stands for?:/
And I do agree with DOAEQ/TEC created a super human biological creature using a fiend blood.

2.No, this is what is killing NG franchise. I don't know when you start playing NG series, but I think you didn't start from NES series, even though you did, you must have had enough of Ryu fighing alone. This is Ryu's game not DOA, he's a lone wolf. I do love the Co-oP mode in NGS2, but I don't want the storymode to be Co-oP main like Gears of War. Although they could add an unlockable mode with a mini side-quest. That's just basically dedicated to co-op, Ryu+character fight together.

3.I would love to see the cast get bigger, but we absolutely do not need DOA characters in NG! Think of Yoshimistu from Tekken. He's a special character in Tekken games, that is why he appears in all Tekken game and Namco games. This is the same situation with Ryu, he's a special character in DOA games although he already has his own game. If we'll have DOA characters in NG, they might as well call [s]Ninja Gaiden[/s] Dead or Alive Gaiden. I would want to see a bigger cast with original characters like Rachel. This will help expand the NG characters universe and make it more unique, so it wouldn't be too tide in with DOA characters.
And Itagaki said Kasumi is too soft of a Ninja Gaiden game. Check my Ayane & Kasumi profile in the DOA board, and you can clearly tell the difference who belongs more in NG and who doesn't. Ryu is touched by darkness, killing all those ninjas in a brutal way in NG2 means nothing to him because he's also touched by darkness (exactly the same way the ninja's want to kill him brutally). Hayashi explained this concept better than Itagaki's "life is a struggle to survive". Ayane has a had life from early childhood, mercy doesn't even belong in her personality, so she belongs in a NG game.

4. I agree with the character Tomoe, but her reason for leaving the Black Spider Clan seems too soft. You have to remember that Blacl Spider Clan are bad. From their point of view, they don't seem to be the villain but Hayabusa clans are instead. They want to achieve a better goal for their future, but they do things in a hash way and terrible way. For an example like robbing the bank to buy new weapons and stuff, how'd you think BSC could build the Deadulus air ship:/). I mean there have to be a better reason for her leaving the clan.
And as for Ezekeil, the character doesn't seem too original, it's another Vigoor Empire stuff:/ That's old skool man, NG1.

Thanks Xino for actually responding to my suggestions. But there are some things that I wish to clear up with you about what you said. I don't wish to argue; this is only for a game that I doubt Team Ninja will even look at and for me to get some things straight.

1. Yes I know that DOATEC is more involved with the DOA games (the name being more then obvious) but I readed that DOA and Ninja Gaiden both share the same universe. While the first game may take place before DOA1 I'm more then sure NG2 doesn't take place before DOA1. Ayane is the best example; in NG1 she was still in her early teens while in NG2 she appears to be more mature, and on top of that the Hayabusa was destroyed in NG1 while in NG2 it seemed to be restored. This shows, at least to me, that the time difference between NG1 and NG2 is pretty wide, maybe by several years. But if all that is wrong then where does NG2 fit in with DOA1? Have I missed something in the timeline? And if I have then what was it?

2. Now that you have put it that way I can see what you mean. Ryu does fight better without any company. I guess they can include a side-story co-op mode (like Ryu tags along with Momiji to save Sanji).

3. Trust me; I would rather jump into a pit of snakes then have all the DOA characters included in Ninja Gaiden. But that wasn't what I meant. I don't want Hitomi to make a cameo or that Bayman become a boss fight in NG3. I only wanted the next two ninjas in DOA to join Ryu's attack against DOATEC (if that is the story for NG3, if that doesn't work then consider this topic a bust), which is Kasumi and Hayate; that's all. This after all is a Ninja Gaiden game, not a "Ryu and friends" game (and yes, that title makes me feel sick too). I know Kasumi is soft and that she wouldn't harm a person if she could help it; but I'm sure you notice that Kasumi isn't all happy-endings; she killed her own uncle and took the life of her clone. I doubt she would be merciful to someone like DOATEC after what they have done to her brother and the pain they caused her clan. Also would you really say Kasumi wouldn't kill a fiend if it meant protecting the innocent? And she is enduring some hardship like Ayane; her own clan and even her own family make attempts to kill her and will continue to do so until she dies. I'm more then certain she has had to kill her own clan members in order to survive. But this is only an idea based on a possible hint of her inclusion in NG3; so then I ask you this: what was the reason for her being in NG3 at all? Was it a hint of her inclusion in NG or of DOA5 being around the corner? Because I can't find any other reason then those.

4. I guess that was a lame reason for Tomoe but how about this: what if Tomoe was the child of a Black Spider couple who were killed by a Hayabusa ninja. The Hayabusa took Tomoe under his wing and raises her as his own child. She later discovers her real origins and is torn between her foster clan or her blood related clan, unable to decide where her loyality resides. She follows Ryu on his quest to stop the BSC and DOATEC and she later sees the evil of the Black Spider and places her loyalty in the Hayabusa. Would that work better for Tomoe? And I'm not sure what kind of weapon she would use; would a sansetsukon work?

And as for Ezekiel I did the whole "Vigoor" stuff so that Rachel wouldn't be the odd one out in a cast full of ninja. But if you think that wouldn't work then I can understand why. But how this then for a new character: Matsu, a former ninja who later fell into a life as a monk due to old age. He was meant to protect an important Dragon artifact with other monks but the BSC and DOATEC raid the shrine and steal it to power the fiend superweapon. Matsu joins Ryu to help take DOATEC as he feels responisble for losing the artifact that will power the fiend. As for a weapon I think it would be awesome if he used the twin hooks, like he could link the blades together so it would act as the kusarigama and use them separately like the Dragon Fang and Tiger Claw swords.

1.Yes NG2 doesn't take place before DOA1 although it could.
In NG1, Ayane was 14 years old, in NG2 which happened a year later, Ayane is 15 years old. And Ninja Gaiden 3 should take place months after NG2 or 1 year later. But you must remember that Ayane is 16years old in DOA series.
The story for NG2 was a piece of trash and not original, the clans were annihilated in NG1, yet they were once again annihilated in NG2. Also we mustn't forget Ninja Gaiden Dragonsword.


3. You seem to be forgetting Kasumi's history. She started having a hard life after DOA1 tournament not before DOA (she returned home after defeating/killing Raidou and no one accepted her). After Dead or Alive 2 tournament and Hayate was named the headsec of the Tenjin Mon, ninjas from Tenjin were chasing after Kasumi ever since. All she does is runaway from them, and if she runs to a dead end path or have no choice but to fight, she must then kill the ninjas.
Kasumi only kills for a reason, killing Raidou for revenge, killing her own ninja clans for survival. I mean she didn't even kill Ayane when Ayane attempted to take her life. There's some history going on there, and where the hell is Code Cronus to tell the story about those two!? >:@!

so then I ask you this: what was the reason for her being in NG3 at all? Was it a hint of her inclusion in NG or of DOA5 being around the corner? Because I can't find any other reason then those.
She wasn't in NG3. She appeared as a cameo in NGS2 for DOA fanservice not [s]Ninja Gaiden[/s] fanservice. Hayashi did the same because Itagaki gave Ayane a cameo in NG2 as a fanservice. If she appeared in NGS2 not as a cameo, then I'm sure she'll be in NG3. Because Hayashi was hinting something about Sanji is too young and doesn't know how to use a duel sword yet as his father was a master swordsman.

All I know is, I don't want Kasumi to appear in NG3 because it wouldn't make sense. There needs to be story unfold how Hayabusa knows Hayate and his linked to knowing Kasumi, why they are both rivals and best friends:/
No reason why Ayane is helping Hayabusa instead.
So Ninja Gaiden should take place before DOA1, and other NG sequels can take place between DOA or after DOA.

I mean, it makes it sound as if Hayabusa clan were bad for killing parents of Tomoe. And how did they discover the child?

I say we stick to the first idea, but instead of her leaving the clan for a reason, she's leaving the clan to befriend Ryu and betray him thus helping the BSC. And yes the 3 Sectional Staff can work.

Matsu sounds good, but not also becoming a monk as a old age which doesn't seem like a good excuse. He became a monk for redemption because of all those ninja's he killed in the past. One of the reasons for being a monk not for being old. Remember Hitman 2 (though he wasn't a monk:P). And him using Sais is fine too. You mean he could use Sais but they have chains at the end of the handle. Sounds interesting, never though of using a pair of Sais like that.



But one thing I really want Team NINJA to include in the next NG3 should be more Tengus! Those Tengu Brothers were so original in NGS2, and I love them so much. Even though you had to fight them a couple of times in Storymode, but it made sense and I love fighting them. The music composer did an excellent job for their remix!
MORE TENGUS FOR NG3! Like we can say Ryu teleported to a Tengu realm and he must fight about 30 tengus coming towards him:P


But the most important thing about NG3, the gameplay should be like NG1, non-linear or what ever they call it. As in you can backtrack all the time to different areas unlike NG2's 1 path.

1. A year huh? I guess I missed that part. . . some how. . . I guess if we go about it you're way then the only way my story would work is if NG3 takes place during or after DOA4. I'm still curious to see how the ninjas took DOATEC down other then cutscenes. I'm pretty sure DOATEC wasn't completely destroyed by that attack alone; no matter how many heads you cut off the hydra will grow two more in it's place.

3. While it may not make sense to have her in NG, Kasumi would still be an interesting addition if you thought about it. I can see her using her teleportation trick to perform many combos and be used like Momiji's double jump. Whether or not she or even Hayate will be included is up to Team Ninja in the end I guess.

4. Alright, then how about this: After Genshin's death in NG2 many of the ninja in the Black Spider clan begun to fight over the position of Master Ninja, including Tomoe. She lost in the final fight and kicked out of the clan by the new leader. She teams up with Ryu to help give her an edge in taking over the BSC and overthrowing the new leader, and to make things interesting she hates Ryu for being a Hayabusa ninja but she also views him as a sort of ally after helping her gain power. This would be like a love/hate relationship thing and this could work after Ryu got angry at Elizabet kicking Genshin's corpse.

And I got the "monk" thing after Muramasa. He was a ninja and he now works as a shop-owner because he got too old for the life a ninja. I'll go with the whole "redemption" route you're heading, seeing as that would help keep Matsu from being viewed as a cardboard character. And I didn't say he uses the sai, I said he uses the twin hooks. If you look up how they are used you will see why I think that would a more interesting weapon to add in NG.

Ah yes, the Tengu, the only enemies in NGS2 that I didn't think to myself "lame. . .". Didn't the Tengu in DOA hinted he knew something about Project Epsilon in a way? If he did then the Tengu should be enemies in the whole 'attacking DOATEC' story.

Itagaki almost farked up DOA series with DOA4 because of the gameplay and trash endings! Well, the ninjas did put an end to DOATEC in DOA4, so I guess DOATEC is no more. Unless the person who can revive DOATEC or resurrect a new biological testing company is Helena since she has the power to build up a new organisation because of her family's background and ranking occupation.
How did the ninjas take down DOATEC?
Ayane+Hayate: Hayate kills all incoming DOATEC soliders and ninjas. Ayane performs Mountain gods ninpo to the MAX that completes erupts and blows up the DOATEC building to ****es.
Kasumi: faces her clone. I think the Clone even survived because it teleported up into the air.
Ryu: doing his thing just like he does with NG series. I think the guy he blew up in the ship was Donovan, if he is then him too is dead.


Yes Kasumi may be good in NG, but only as a unlockable content or DLC. Not to be included in the storyline. NG still needs more characters that are original and to build up the NG character universe.


And the story about the fighting over to become a leader seems too childish for BSC. BSC will have to be organised especially in who to become a leader, master, head etc. But why in the world would the new leader kick out Tomeo for her trying to become a leader??? Not unless she said something so bad or did something so wrong or broke the BSC code of conduct/rules.
I still think if she'll be included. Then her role will be to befriend Ryu, help him with his quest like Ayane does and betray him in the end.

You mean Helena talks about Project Epsilon with Ein/Hayate.

But Team NINJA didn't explain Chapter 5's intro correctly. They labelled the Tengu as part of the Black Spider Clan crushing his "ninja". Who is the ninja? They surely can't be talking about Sanji:/
And the Tengus hates the Hayabusa clan, so it's best not to make them fight with the Black Spider Clan....unless the Black Spider Clan gains the upper hand in battle, can then the Tengus have the opportunity to attack with the Black Spider Clan and crush Hayabusa clan once and for all.

Ryu got angry at Elizebet for kicking Genshin because that was disrespectful, Ryu got annoyed at how Elizebet took away Genshin's honor. Remember, being ninja, honor is very important. Especially after Genshin being such a respectable enemy, he wanted power and was an enemy to the Dragon Lineage, but he was also a great ninja himself, he helped Ryu out at least 3 times in the story. These two respected each other a lot as enemies.

Twin hooks! that's right! awesome! just imagine what kind of combos could be dome with these!

Tengu? I don't like them, making many of them wouldn't be much fun.

I just finished watching Raging Phoenix and the story was a piece of sh* just like Ninja Gaiden 2.


I mean, how can you have an underworld located instead Mount Fuji???LOL...seriously. It's like saying the deep core of the Earth is where Hell is at.

Also another stupid thing, Ryu jumped inside Mount Fuji and you see so many things and wander in this wide vast lava. Old ancient japanese castle house inside mount fuji, forest of death in mount fuji, desert in mount fuji.

did you watch "Journey to the center of the earth"? Mt. Fuji in NG is similar to what's happening in that movie.

maybe Genshin didn't help Ryu 3 times but he did give Ryu his sword. And in the end, Ryu gave Genshin a proper burial. Ryu wouldn't bury the body if he didn't respect Genshin.

nobody cares about the honor of the dead ninjas searched by Kasumi. Ryu searches through many bodies throughout the NG series too, because no one cares about the lesser ninjas.

Since when have the Black Spider showed any compassion towards each other? If the title of clan leader was up for grabs I doubt they would organised in picking a leader.

Tomoe would of course have gained the title easily, but the ninja who won cheated her out of it and Tomoe is of course ****ed about it. So she teams up with Ryu to get to the new leader, kill him, and with her new power and status betrays Ryu in the end.

And Twin hooks don't need chains, as you can see in the pictures provided by Toshiro the blades can hook together, and they would still cause a lot of damage.

And Versus Omnibus, Black Spider Clan must be very organised, if they weren't they wouldn't get this far. I mean if they weren't, wouldn't there be internal strife in the clan on who to be the new leader, meaning everyone would have to fight each other. And the strongest would be granted the leader. That's too childish, BSC works just like every other organised groups. Since you are a big clan, of course you have to be organised.

something like, a male character who has a little side story, fights Ryu 2 or 3 times (like Genshin) but fails to defeat Ryu, so he helps Ryu for the rest of the story instead.
some muscular army guy, or an agent, or someone who just got tired of being Ryu's enemy.
his fighting style could be based on Murai, or Gamov.

I can't wait for this DLC man. I'm sure it'll be awesome. Because Tecmo were pleased with NGS2 sales, that is why they quickly announced the sale figures 1 month after.

It normally take 1 month for a developer to release a DLC add-on. But what ever Team NINJA have up their sleeve better be worth it.


All I want for DLC is just a mini side story co-op Campaign mode.

I don't play RPG's, but yeah, that wasn't too original.

there's gotta be something better than just a new story if there's going to be a next game.

I mean why would the BSC be merciful on a disloyal ninja by just letting him/her go? Shouldn't they punish the ninja?
And why would Tomoe want to become a leader? wouldn't that lead to us wanting to know more about her life, past and personality?

Because from my point of view, if Tomoe would want to be a leader by force, then she must be a villain, why does she want to have control?

1. I would like to have more weapons to choose from and keep all the weapons from the previous game.

2.I like having different characters to play with in the game, but please Team ninja make Joe a playable character. I will admit it is fun to stare at the chicks but at the same time if you are looking for any male characters put Joe in it. If your worried about a Ryu clone the just give him Ryu's weapons mainly from sigma 1. I am pretty sure no one will complain if Joes default weapon is Dokus sword. Leave all female characters playable in the main story but add one male one and make it specifically Joe, or Ein shinobi of the wind from DOA

3. Make costumes had least color editable. If I cant have more costumes then let me edit the color of the costumes I already have.

4. I am glad to see I am not the only one here who would like to see the story mode have a team mission but make it an option. As we all know computer AI is a pain to work with when set on higher difficulties.

5. Keep Rachel in her dominatrix outfit and make the ass part a thong. She is just so fun to look at in the first place.

6. Give all the sub playable characters more weapons to choose from. I am pretty sure if Rachel can wield a huge hammer she can wield a huge battle AX. And Give Ayane some Sai's. As for Momiji I have no idea but I am pretty sure all everyone in here will have some idea.

7.Bring back the blood and make it way more gory.

8. Leave the controller shaking trick with the chicks in the game.

9. Make the story long and interesting. I must admit the story from the nes games were pretty good.They were way better than what they are now. I think everyone in here would love to see Ashtar be the main villain in the next one.

10.Keep chapter challenge mode. It is my favorite mode and an excellent way to replay the game. It is a great idea to let the players play the game with all the weapons maxed out from beginning to end.

Xino, she could easily have gotten away from the BSC and sided with Ryu because she had nowhere to go. Your whole betrayal idea could come into play here. Once she has finished what she started Tomoe betrays Ryu and becomes a recurring enemy in future NG games. And as for her reason to becoming leader she might still look up to Genshin and think the new leader isn't fit to take his place. Like Genshin did what he did in NG2 for not just himself but his clan as well Tomoe believes she is the rightful leader of the clan, not the one who is chosen whom Tomoe believes will be the one who destroys the clan for good.

That would be her reason.
