Secret of Team Missions- how it was designed for

Here is something that I discovered in Team Mission and it's the obvious that essentially proves how to play Team Missions and how the developers designed the mechanics.

Having spending more time with Sigma 2, I've only discovered like at least 40% of the gameplay, meaning I haven't tried a few weapons and tricks on enemies and bosses. Like for an example the Spider, I always beat the spider with the Lunar, not only that I use the Lunar's UT on the Spider all the time. I don't even know how to beat the spider with other various weapon, or without UT and without scratching my health.

Anyway the secret to Team Missions Boss battles as something to do with Boss focus/lock on.

Observing Genshin in a Team Mission, if player one attacks Genshin, Genshin will lock on to Player one, leaving Genshin open to attack for Player two's advantage.

That is ESSENTIALLY the trick/secret!

People play Team Mission Boss battles in these ways:
1: Player 1 will stand back, watch and do nothing while Player 2 engages a boss
2: Both players attack a boss at the same time leaving both or one of the players open to attack
3: Player one attacks a boss while Player two twirls leaving player one to do all work
4: Player one attacks a boss while Player two charges for UT. Player one does most of the work

All these are optional however this isn't exactly the method how Team Mission was designed for.

Players need to take advantage of the Boss focus/Lock on, if done correctly, both players will not have damages to their health.

Let's say Master Ninja 1 for an example and this is how to perform/perceive the secret:
*Player 1 attacks Genshin and dodges/jumps away
Genshin focuses towards Player 1 and slowly walks towards him
*Player 2 can walk in front of Genshin or Behind him and perform 2/3 combos and later back away like Player 1 did
Genshin will shift focus to Player 2 and slowly walk towards her
*Player 1 goes in front of Genshin and performs 2/3 combo and again evades away
Genshin stupidly walks towards Player 1 again
*Player 2 goes behind Genshin, performs izuna drop and backs away
etc- Rinse and Repeat!

This is the simple method! No player will ever get hit! It's a safe method and also grants both players to fight and share the battle not as one player acting like a freaking hero and showing off.

However the ONLY way to get hit during this method is IF a player is intentionally greedy!
I've told many players who join my game this instructions YET they get hit because of their greediness.
The only way to get his are:
*Player 1 keeps performing long combo such as Square+Square+Square+ Triangle + Triangle
*Player 2 attacks while a Boss performs Ninpo
*Player 2 attacks instead of evading!
*Player 1 DOES not evade and wants to counter the boss after guarding or blocking an attack.

This Official method works on:
+Genshin 100%
+Obaba 100%
+Spider 100%

*Fiend Genshin 50% can shift focus towards any close player!
*Tengu Twin 50% can shift focus towards any close player!
*Alexi 50% can shift focus towards any close player
*Elizabet 50% can shift focus towards any close player

-Dark Dragon
-Dancing Bone
obviously with leviathan bosses

Boss battles are not designed for 1 player except for Ultimate Ninja missions!

you obviously need to fight the Spider more often. I had troubles with the black dragon mission at first because the spiders caused so much damage, but I learned how to kill them quite quickly.

my preferred way is to use Rachel, I believe it was Sq. Sq. Tri. Tri.
this way, you're hitting the spider and by the time he tries to grab you, you're already in the air, making him miss, and you slam the hammer on his head. (I can do it flawlessly 3 out of 4 tries)

the other one that I did not master is to spam Ayane, there's an attack that makes the spider stop the grab in the middle of an attempt, so he's pretty much paralyzed by Ayane's speed.

I need to learn how to use the dual swords, apparently when you do the rotate then Tri. attack, he can't grab you. (pretty much like the way you avoid Alexi)

skilled staff users (sometimes Dabilahro) can just spam Izuna from the time Genshin appears to the time he dies. It is when the drop is unsuccessful, that the other player takes advantage of the focus/lock.

it is much more difficult with Fiend Genshin, as he does not loose balance (did you see his gigantic feet?) so I just use Tonfa to smash his head (jump Tri. [works well with Doku, if you remember him]) while he's distracted with my partner (most of them try him 1 on 1, so he barely targets me)

But 3 Genshin I have no idea what to do.

and why many hate Elizebet, she doesn't stick to the focus/lock. She often appears to have locked on your partner, and out of nowhere attacks you instead. It's annoying.

talking about Doku, I miss the Unlabored Flawlessness. That thing killed EVERYTHING!

Doku would die after just 10 seconds when I used it. It was fun.

the way you play the game don't you know that's technically cheating? O_o
Ayane infinite attack on Spider
Lunar Izuna drop loop on Genshin
Dragon Sword & Tiger Fang inzuna drop loop on Genshin
Enma's Fang's izuna drop loop on genshin
Scythe rotate+Triangle loop on Spider

Some people call it "Ninja Arts", no it isn't and it's just a glitched way of beating the game. This is the cause of my rant and why I made the Easy Way out and n00b topic. People are so used to cheating in the game that once they enter any room they instantly pick Lunar and cheat in the game.

It's the same thing with Devil May Cry 4's Jump Cancel, cheat defenders would say developers left it there intentionally. But if Jump Cancel is really allowed, why can't we see it in the move list? why is it so hidden?

Which is exactly like "ninja arts".
If people can be using ninja arts to beat mission, why are they playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2? The whole purpose why we love Ninja Gaiden games is to see the Game Over ending multiple times until we finally beat a mission and we feel good about ourselves.

And I hate that damn Red Tengu twin!

I'm just saying ppl do that all the time and it is effective. (most ppl just want to beat the game fast, you try enjoying it to the fullest)

but when I play the coliseum mission, I pick the dual swords and use different techniques to defeat Genshin, he's not that difficult, and most of the time, my partner knows to take turns. One of my fave parts.

but for the giant skeleton, there's no other way but to kill him but from far away. Me and my partner just cannoned that thing for 15 minutes until it was dead, because close combat just dealt too much damage.

The Spider has to be taken out as quickly and efficiently as possible as that thing takes away 100% life per attack, so I don't know what to do but cheat.

and I can never find a partner patient enough for UN with the statues. I can fight both Buddhas flawlessly, but I don't have a plan for the liberties.

yes most people cheat to beat the game for first time or to show off as if they are that good in Sigma 2.

Genshins is not difficult in Master Ninja 1 as you said, if people can learn to co-op together and take turns, non would loose any health.

As for the Giant Dancing Skeleton, there is a way to kill it. And it's to do with attacking it at close point and it's quite faster to do this. Also when you stun the boss and he sits down, use a single ninpo and fire on his chest- you'll be surprised by what happens!

And I disagree with you about beating a boss as fast as possible, that is the reason why people get delusion in missions and they find it difficult to beat. There's absolutely no time limit in Team Missions and what Team NINJA did is that, they want players to TAKE their time just to beat a certain mission.

If you are that good in a mission then you can try and beat it the fastest time (linking to your Ninja Record).
For an example, you are meant to take your time with bosses like Elizabet because the sufficient way to beat her is by UT.

You don't even need to cheat to beat the Spider, you can just use UT to beat the spider it's efficient, secure, safe and non risk.

I would suggest you view tutorial videos how to beat Liberty in Ultimate Ninja 3 like I did. I really do think UN3 cannot be beaten legit unless you use the Boss Camera glitch. However I've been practising fighting Liberty by face to face combat and dodging.

oh, yeah, of course I know about the black ninpo on the Giant skeleton, it's not like we used cannons even when he sat down.

well, the final Karma does have a relation to the time, so the faster you do it, the easier it is to get the gold shuriken. (to me, it's not beaten unless I get a gold shuriken)

actually, I find that UT -ing the spider is the dumb way. The spider can't be distracted the same way other bosses can be, so while your partner charges, there is a big chance of you loosing health. The spider can run, air blade, and grab; all three are difficult to avoid.

so the UT is used for Tengu, Witch, evil Ninja, Genshin, Elizebeth (though she often attacks me while I charge), and Alexi. But I'd never use that technique on the Spider.

I can get both Liberties to go bellow half health, but then I can't hit the collar and the lightning balls are impossible to dodge, half of the time you can't even see them coming.

I know you prolly played NGS2 twice as much as I did, but something tells me you know less about beating the missions than I do. No offense though, I still respect your comments. =)

lol...i thought you used cannons through out:P

hmmm...so time duration affects the Karma points?
do you mean in % or the final numbers?
But I wouldn't worry about karma numbers because people glitch/cheat the leaderboard.

You are wrong about the spider not distracted in the same way as other bosses. The thing is the Spider can shift focus to you if your partner is far away and you are the one closest to the Spider.
Using UT for the bosses you listed, to me is the long route. UTing the Spider may be slightly slower than dealing damage with Triangle however it is the safest way and non risky way.
Safe- You can't get hurt, finish your UT, your partner unleashes his UT, while in motion charge your own UT, repeat.
Non Risk- you don't have to perform combos without risking getting grabbed.

The Liberty UN3 is retarded man, it can't be beaten without glitching the camera. And I want someone to prove me wrong by providing a video of someone beating that mission without glitching the camera.

No offence there and I agree, I may not know some ways of beating some bosses like you have. But for hell I definitely know the routines for most of the game like when a boss targets a player, who the boss targets when a mission starts, easy way of reviving a partner, when to hit bosses to stun them, character pros and cons etc
