this topic will be mainly story themed.
One thing I got confused when I played NG 2 was the fact that Supreme Archfiend Vazdah looks like Demon/ Jashin from the original Ninja Gaiden series. When we compare these two Archfiends they both share similiarities (no legs but a dangerous tail, the big blue orb, the human face, the bat wings - at least Jashin had those wings in the original NG 2 for NES, the overall insectoid body). We all know however that Vazdah's true form is resembling a devilish giant demon.

Now I looked up in the Ninja Gaiden Wiki. It said the following about Vazdah's larval form (since I searched for reasons why he looked exactly like Jashin; I first thought they both would be one and the same Archfiend):
"To ensure he didn't escape, they imprisoned him in a weakened demon body that was tied to the Statue of Demon the Deity of Destruction, imprisoning Vazdah in the Underworld to eternal slumber, along with him his Four Greater Fiends were placed into a deep neverending sleep."
Appearently they prisoned Vazdah in a weaker demonic body that actually belongs to Demon/Jashin due to the powers of the Statue of Demon.. if I'm correct it's the same statue as the one in the original NG for NES which Jaquio used to awaken Jashin (together with a second statue).
But why did they actually bound Vazdah in the body of another Archfiend. Plus we all know, that Jashin or Demon was actually fought in the original first two games of NG, which take place AFTER the events of the newer NG series. Thus if Jashin still existed how could Vazdah be prisoned in his body?

Also, the wiki confuses me as well. It names Vazdah "The Archfiend Vazdah(邪神Jashin; the Evil Deity)", but we all know that Jashin is actually another name for Demon (and aparently a better one; calling an Archfiend, who IS actually a demon by the name of Demon is a bit dumb, but oh well).
However, the wiki describes Demon as "The Demon (邪神 Jashin; Evil Deity)" using the name Jashin again.
Now what's actually right?

There's another fact that confuses me: Vazdah was the Evil Deity of Destruction if you look at his rank on the wiki. However it says that both Vigoor and Jashin are the God of Destruction. I highly doubt that both of them have the same rank. Does anyone know the truth?

All in all, I've got three things to ask you about the Archfiends so that these things get cleared.

1.) Is Vazdah's larval form actually nothing else but Jashin's/ Demon's body used to prison Vazdah? How could this be accomplished considering the fact that Jashin still exists (he's probably in soem sort of eternal slumber as well, before Jaquio managed to resurrect him two times, both in NG 1 and 2)? What's with the actual Jashin then since his body is being "used" by another Supreme Archfiend?

2.) Now is it a mistake of the wiki that they used the name Jashin for both Demon and Vazdah? I think that Jashin is the actual name of Demon.

3.) What's the true rank of the Supreme Archfiends Demon/ Jashin and Viggor since due to the wiki they both are the God of Destruction?

It would be really nice if we could start a discussion or if anyone could actually answer these questions.

Read this topic I made, it shows that NG2 was not entirely a new game. 20-40% of the game were recycled from Classic NG.


*Second, never trust Wikipedia! Anybody can edit it. I can just go to Wiki NG page and write down "Vazdah was a n00b and was prison for release in NG3". Smaller site like wikia from Wikipedia can be trusted because true fans of that media will like to keep all information legit. If Wikipedia was a trustful site, you will not be confused.

*Rank of demons? I don't even know wtf Jashin is O_O. All I can say is:
