really don't see the point considering the most PS users don't even know the story behind DoA where as it was alot easier with NGS2 as NGS1 a port from the NG1 and Black was on the PS3 already. I don't care about graphics, DoA should stay on it's xbox fanbase and NG has shown more worthy of multiplatform praise.

you hear me Xino . see all I was asking for is a DOA game for PS3 owners. of course all Xbox fanboys will oppose. but when I say that Xbox owners hav had enough DOA releases while PS3 owners had soo little no one can say I'm wrong. and a fighting game story is no issue. and if they really want to keep the time line and stuff they could use the vast space on the Blue ray disc. if nothing else they will be able to make stuff clear or fill story holes or something right?

If they start from DOA5, they wouldn't know what happened in DOA 3 and DOA4. It was easier to understand in NGS1 and Sigma 2 because there's no missing storyline:/ why should it stay exclusive? If NG showed more multiplatform praise, so will DOA going multiplatform!

Unless Tecmo decides to port DoA 1-4 on the PS3 on one blu-ray disc, I don't see DoA5 being on the system cause many people would not know what the story is about. That's like having Mass Effect 3 on the PS3 without the first two being available on the console. It just makes little sense as it's a story driven game. DoA is also a story game in a way especially when it comes to NG story and all that. I just don't see many PS3 users caring for DoA as much as Ninja Gaiden cause Ninja Gaiden is an action game you can slice people up perform crazy combos and see blood and gore spurt out. DoA is a fighting game right? Fighting games unless it's Street Fighter or Tekken(which are the two biggest fighting games right now) has a very small niche fanbase. I just don't see it being as successful imo.

not necessarily. DOA1 (not Arcade) debuted on PS1, DOA2 Hardcore was on PS2. Having another port is not needed, we have too much remakes of DOA. Team NINJA can simply put down a backstory of all the events in past DOA into DOA 5. People who played GOW3 did not understood the story timeline, although they got a glimpse of it in the GOW3 Story mode opening scene. Same can be said to DMC4, I never played any DMC and I got the story so far because Capcom added a timeline backstory to the game. Again Resident Evil 5, if you started from RE4 (like most people did), you'll get all story from the library archive. On prior to a fighting game, there's absolutely no need for a story timeline to be added to DOA 5, since DOA stories focuses on character's story but doesn't have a main story plot. DOA5 can just have a brief detail of all characters story in their biography (just like MK). EG Ryu Hayabusa- entered DOA1 Tournament to assist his best friend's sister Kasumi, later re-entered DOA2 because of a demon who threaten the world. Successfully killing the demon, he joined DOA3 for.... and so on. If DOA had an official story plot that involves all characters in 1 package like BlazBlue, then we'll need a backstory. And I wouldn't say DOA is a story driven game like NG, sure the worlds are connected but it adhere same story system just like every other fighting game. The only story driven fighting games out is BlazBlue and Soul Calibur 3. Also DOA5 needs to be on PS3 because Xbox 360's d-pad sucks

idk, as much as I don't pay attention to SF story I hear it is story driven in a sense. And tbh DMC4 wasn't that good. DMC3 was alot better than 4 and even DMC1 was better. the only game DMC4 beats is DMC2. capcom deviated from the story and game being dante to some scrub wannabe vergil(Nero) all for the sake of money, make excuses why they made dante "too power" in DMC3 and on top of this act complete asses when asked about PSN trophies being added to it.

What would be great(if only for nostalgia's sake,Tecmo releases the Model 2 DOA1 on PSN or as a bundle disc or DVD/BD edition the way DOAU had the DOA1 Saturn version. Oh right DOA1 PSOne is already available at PSN Asia. If there'll be a DOA4 .5/DOA5 for the PS3, I wish they'd include Kokoro's kimono costume (what self respecting geisha would she be without her kimono and her original undies(as seen in the DOAU demo of DOA4).............and fix the d@mn difficulty level. It's soooooooo cheap that you don't get the chance to even appreciate the game's backgrounds and beauty............
