I made a video on my thoughts a game that should be made. If you agree, spread it around, with enough publicity it may just happen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eM90g9xAd9k -FireGX

Ninja Gaiden Tentative title for 3DS and PSP2 could be a NG rebirth. You have heard of Team NINJA's latest news for their direction towards NG3 right? They will cut all ties with the classic Ryukenden. If I would want a rebirth, I would want it in 3D side scroller with NG era and not Classic Ryukenden era. It wouldn't hurt for them to make a rebirth, but Tecmo are really not the types who over-market their IP or Milk their IP to death unlike Konami, SEGA, Nintendo or Capcom. Watching Castlevania retrospective from Gametrailer made me learnt a lot from the series. Because I can't believe just how much Konami milked the f*k out of Castlevania! The same with Capcom, Capcom love milking their franchise in the end they come up with the same bullsh* title they released last time and call it a new game. Tecmo isn't like that although we have seen NBA and Tecmo Bowl this generation. But I seriously doubt they would do a rebirth. I don't get your request by the way. Do you want a reboot or re-imaging of Ryukenden in 2D? Because Tecmo's focus to the NG franchise is the era based with DOA and they have long and forgotten all about the Classic Ninja Gaiden version which is now irrelevant! But holds a distant memory as one of the hardest games ever. I mean if it's a Reimagining with better graphics or better sprites, it wouldn't hurt to make a HD version of Ryukenden. But what will it do for sales? Because we already have Classic Ninja Gaiden on WiiWare. If it's a Ryukenden reboot with NG, well Tecmo shouldn't miss the chance to recreate the game in HD 3d graphics.

I had to bump this thread. I really think it would be a cool idea if they re-done either the old trilogy or the arcade Ninja Gaidens. In the same manner in which they done Bionnic Commando rearmed. I know that the old school fans would prolly disagree. But, I would like to play these on modern hardware. And, I thought It would be so cool to play through these in a newer style of graphics and there could be some tweaking done. And, even references to the newer series like his modern ninja garb for an outfit. Just a wish.

I am totally loving what we have seen of NG3 and really excited for it now. This thread does bring to mind the whole question of how far removed from the original NES trilogy will NG3 take us? The previous NG games tied in certain elements of the original trilogy, as like a re-imagined version of these elements (Demon Statue, etc.), and there were even some hints by Itagaki that NG1 and NG2 were a prequel of sorts to the NES trilogy. I now wonder what the NG3 story will reveal in this regard. Will Team Ninja tie the story even closer to the original NES trilogy or more firmly go in a different direction? In particular, it will be very interesting to see what they do with the Sonia/Irene Lew character. After seeing her in DOA Dimensions, it seemed certain that she would continue to play a big role in Ryu's story. But now, after seeing this little bit of NG3, I am not so sure---especially with them showing this new dark-haired woman (from the Japan Self-Defense Force?) who seems to be a new character taking the position of what a Sonia character would also do/be. What do you guys think? I think it is still very possible NG3 could continue this theme of a "re-imagining" of the NES trilogy, at least vaguely. The Regent of the Mask character has potential similarities to some of the villains in the NES games....

I am not really familiar with the story of the NES games. But, after watching e3 videos it seems like they are moving away from the past story line, even from part 1 and 2 of the new games. Irene/Sonia still could be a possibilty for NG3. The "CIA Thing" could still fit in I think. Even if the stories end up total contradictions, I would still like to play an updated NES Trilogy of Ninja Gaiden.

Bump... I still am in love with the TC's idea here. I So want a new, shiny NES rebirth-remake. People would buy it up, I think. And, with new handhelds and the downloadable markets it could be worth their while. Still Dreaming...

They made three diffrent versions of the same game and sold them as full priced games Thats milking my friend. and in reply to this post I say no I want them to focus on their 3D stuff maybe put like a console in game that lets you play a few new levels with that perspective. =]
