its unbelievable how every time news gets released about Ninja Gaiden game (post Itagaki) gamers always throw a tantrum fit.
*they announced a new game with better graphics, fixed problems, new characters, online yet they complain about no blood *a lot of things were exchange for and they complain about those features gone. *The introduced the Nation Crusher (Rocket Launcher) in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and gamers complaint. *Ninja Gaiden 3 bought back blood and more bloodier than NG2, yet gamers complaint that there is no dismemberment *they introduce new intriguing story now they complain about story narrative during communication with the lady and Ryu *They want Hayashi to produce a 'new' game and shouldn't copy Itagaki's version. Hayashi completely introduce a new way of playing Hack n Slash, yet the gamers complain *the game is only 30% complete and playable however gamers are taking this for granted and thinking that the whole game is playable, expecting new weapons and fully polish, yet they complain *he has a new voice since many dislike NG2's voice actor, again they complain about this new voice actor *the game is being played on Normal/Easy to introduce new gamers to the game, these whiners have finished Master Ninja many times and they can't even tell what difficulty the demo is currently being played on, yet again they complain its too easy. *the game will feature up to 8 player multiplayer both versus and co-op. And once again, they will complain! *people complain about OT abuse and UT abuse, this is now balanced however they still complain about it. *"Ninja Gaiden Sigma is just an icing on the cake", Hayashi decides to add new gameplay feature such as Assassination, gliding and kunai climbing. Guess what? they complained. *the game will be in 3D, they will complain about the 3D effect *the game will feature Move support, they will complain about that too. *people want to use Kunai as a weapon (which I don't see the point), that was granted+using kunai to climb, again they complained. My god such moaners and whiners! the funny thing is, they complain about how terrible Ninja Gaiden 2 was made and prefer the inferior version over the better version Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Once again, they prefer the inferior game to Ninja Gaiden 3. I didn't know gamers like playing old, outdated inferior games O_o I really don't know wtf is going on seriously. I think the Post Itagaki really did affect the gaming industry because whatever good features Hayashi approves in Ninja Gaiden games, these so called "fans" will tantrum over it. They basically want to keep playing broken trash game Ninja Gaiden 2 but with new graphics. It just pains me to see Team NINJA experiencing all these negatives from who they think are their fans or fans of NG. All they ever produce are negative outputs. You can never satisfy them, you bring back something they complained the most, they complain about it. Fan supports is a motivational key that allows developers to keep making games and if these gamers moan about every new aspect of Ninja Gaiden games, I think it is best Team NINJA should stop making NG games. Because they would do nothing but complain. |

You can satisfy the fans by making a proper sequel.[Akin to Portal to Portal 2, Assassin Creed to Assassin Creed 2, God of War 1 to God of War 2 etc]
You do a complete disservice to the fans when you make an entirely different game with only elements of the previous game before it. [Halo 3 to Reach, Crysis to Crysis 2] Same applies to movies Good continuity [Lord of the Rings, Toy story] Bad continuity [Star Wars Original Trilogy to New Trilogy] Lets hope NGIII doesn't pull a Rush Hour. [1st two are great, third doesn't even compare] They're actually very similar[Ninja Gaiden 3 and Rush Hour 3], -different director in the third as well[Kinda like how you have Hayashi pulling the strings now] -Using locale to sell the image of the franchise[RH3 used France, NG3 is using London] ....who knows yet? :/ This message has been edited. what do you know of game development?
when you create games and you want to make a sequel, you don't make the same ingredients, you have to make it different because this is a sequel. That is the problem about people they simply do not like "Change" which is what Inafune was trying to explain at Capcom. Portal 2 was successful because it was done right, believe me when you ask people's opinion about co-op mode integrated to storymode. Many will deny that mode, yet Portal 2 did so and succeed. I didn't hear complains about Reach unless I didn't hang around xbox places to hear people's experiences and faults for the game. All I know is that COD has over shadowed Halo and Halo is not being talked about heavily like previously. Star Wars to new trilogy? I didn't hear bad thoughts on the movie, it was a good reaction. Trilogy movies are always bound to fail because movie makers and directors always want to go beyond the expectation and they go too far. How is using London a selling tool? its more of being creative. Ninja Gaiden remakes where basically 60% recycled goods and game documented designs. NG3 is all fresh and new. I'm glad Hayashi approved the use of Ryu going to London and not some overused geography like US. the game is only 30% done man, wait until you try out the game yourself. |

The problem with this comment is Ninja Gaiden has never been story driven. Sure Ninja Gaiden 1 back in the day of it's release the story was pretty good but once you get into it, the story sucked. Ninja Gaiden up until NG3 has always been about killing. The ways/feeling of killing with a Katana(NG1), the ways/feeling of cutting limbs off(NG2) and now the ways/feeling of cutting through someone's bones. Ninja Gaiden 3 could finally have a brilliant story, and not a tacked on cliche boring story we've seen up until this point. Itagaki was using old gameplay mechanics and really screwed up the direction of Ninja Gaiden 2 which as Xino said, people complained about. The real problem isn't the games, it's the "fans" humping Itagaki and not allowing anything new to be made for the Ninja Gaiden franchise, which this game is looking very awesome and it's 30% done. The problem with the new star wars trilogy is the same as people upset with anything else: BIASM!! People who grew up watching Star Wars in the late 70's early 80's loved them because they were unique and OMG THIS IS SOO COOL at an age where technology wasn't anywhere near where it is now. George Lucas specifically stated that he would have made the first 3(with anakin and what not) earlier if the technology for it was where it needed to be, this was back during the development of the episodes IV,V,VI. Finally it was on 2000 and he made the first 3 episodes showing anakin skywalker and what not and people moaned because they couldn't accept it. These are the same people who really know nothing about the star wars saga or realization this was planned 30 years prior to ending episode VI of Star Wars. Episodes I,II,III was amazing. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and it was brilliant. Anyone who complains about them aren't fans and just trying to shut out anything that have nothing to do with their childhood movies. It's really the same lame excuse for people NOT wanting a remake of Final Fantasy 7 despite the fact it's the only PS1 FF game that heavily needs a remake. People are scared it won't live up to the original experiences but guess what? it's impossible for this to happen. You can't make lightning strike twice in the same exact location, time...etc and trying to do so = failure. I've played FF7 at it's Hay day release in 97 and I desperately would love for it to be remade with High Definition graphics. People need to stop being afraid of change and new things because without these vital things, everything would not be where it is today in technology and games. Xino: people are complaining for this reason above; they love Itagaki so much. They don't care what crap he develops, directs because they feel he's the one that made Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden. It's amazing how bad performance was for NG2 yet Sigma 2 was brilliant and fixed all that yet people complain. You can't please everyone and I think doing so is a bad idea. |

I never liked Star Wars or care for the movies, never saw the latest movies. And if people thought it sucked so much, it wouldn't have grossed $850mill sales in box office.
Rotten tomato gave it a 80% out of 100. It won lots of awards and nominees. here's the rating for the movie by imdb http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0121766/ratings So....exactly how did the movie fail? i myself haven't even seen Revenge of the Seth and did not perceive the movie getting slammed. Movies that got slammed are many trilogies such as Spiderman 3. You owned yourself and I proved you wrong with proof! Yes it's good you are done talking to me because you have no idea what you are talking about. Hardcore Starwars fan may be disappointed by the movie (and I believe you must be a starwars fanboy which is the reason why you thought the movie failed). However the movie did not fail. If it fail, people will give it low ratings and low ratings will prevent others from watching the movie and preventing it from making $850mill box office. @Final Blade what is BIASM? bias? it's such a shame that when the gameplay was finally revealed that so many people who claims to be NG fan/hardcore/master ninja slams this game and WORST they can't tell when playing Easy mode or master ninja mode. People complain about the story, ok Team NINJA added a story to it. Now they complain about Ryu talking too much. WTF? When you meet a girl, you want to know more about her by asking questions. If she doesn't reply back with answers how exactly would you know about her? They added a new feature Kunai Climb, now they complain that feature sucks that Ryu should ryu up wall. If they are real NG fans they would know that Ryu cannot simply run up high walls. More so he can only run up wall if there are two parallel walls close to each other which allows Ryu to perform Flying Bird Flip. No one praised the Gliding Flying Swallow, they ignored it. But they can complain about Ryu running away from boss. Seriously, does it matter if he runs away or not? he fought the boss in the end. And how exactly can he fight the boss with rockets spamming like NG2 and enemies surrounding Ryu? Trust me everything good and great about this game they complain. It finally led me to believe they are all itagaki fanboys and not real NG fans. I've seen NG fans and they are the ones who are excited about this game just like I am. and you are right they are all Itagaki fanboys. |

I may be wrong but I thought it was the state of being biased. Perhaps I incorrectly spelled the word I was trying to say there.
As for the hopes of what they could add to the game, I know people are asking for dismemberment but I wouldn't mind this being added in. I wouldn't lose sleep over them not adding it in in place of a crap ton more blood spurting. Well as the phrase goes: Haters gunna hate. In fact I came to the realization with this during the DmC trailer. Even after seeing this trailer showing off vintage Devil May Cry combos people are still complaining about the looks. it's like all these so called devil may cry fans just buys the game to get off on dante's silver hair and shirtless body and ignore the main important features like the gameplay. -_- |

(I signed up to this forum to say just this)
Ninja Gaiden 3 is an abomination. This current Team Ninja (Dog) took the best combat gameplay mechanic ever created and turned it into a spammy, QTE leaden button-masher. They should be ashamed of themselves, they've completely sh!ted all over the fans of this game. Ninja Gaiden Black is the best game ever created and NG2, while flawed still maintains the awesome game-play. I hope this game fails dismally and Team Ninja folds, so they can sell the IP to Valhalla studios. |

exactly Haters gonna hate.
I like the DmC gameplay, plays exactly like Devil May Cry. BUt I hate the trailer. If I could remember correctly, when he powers up and the screen sort of go red, his hair turns to white. All they would ever do is constantly moan and complain like how a baby does- cry! Anybody who doesn't see how good Ninja Gaiden 3 looks is basically an Itagaki fanboy. end of |

The majority of the complaints i've seen are about the SOB being QTEs. I try not to pay attention, but douche bags that make comments like that are really starting to annoy me now.
"I only signed up to say this. NG3 is an abomination for having QTEs." Yeh well I signed up to point out what an idiot you are. The game is 30% done & people criticise it like that, stupid comments & clearly dont know what their talking about. On top of that all the up to date info about NG3 is 1 or 2 threads below, but he's that ignorant he didn't bother looking. Exactly, Haters gunna hate. I have my concerns, but still love the look of NG3. I WANT THE DEMO |
|||
|
Ryu![]() |
what are your concerns?
the annoying thing is that many people do not even know what QTE are anymore. They are getting it mixed up with button screen prompt. The video I made I had to use QTE to get to the point that it is a tutorial. I didn't bother explaining that NG3 is not using QTE but button prompts. So far I don't have any concerns for this game. But I believe Team NINJA should increase the animation framerate for Ryu's Kunai Climb. When Ryu climbs, it is way too slow. It is best if Ryu climbs faster rather than doing it slow. Also how come the Teaser video's graphics looks better than this demo? O_o the teaser graphics looked crisp, sharp and clear compared to this demo. |

Weapons
Upgrading UT moves look just like the SOB but with a red glow Karma I've seen a few vids on the kunai climb. It seems that the faster you press the buttons the faster you go up. I seen a vid where the player scales the wall whilst others i've seen go up slow. If I find the vid i'll post it. |

& i'd bet that 99% of them people think that because they've mistaken button prompts for QTEs. lol |

so those are your complaints for the game I see.
Well at least you are not a cry baby like others, you are still impressed with the game and acknowledge that it is 30% complete. It is too early to judge the weapon yet, 2 weapons are currently confirmed. However the complain so far is that only sword katanas can be used:/ I have no problem with this because I can see a lvl 1 dragon sword has so many move animations, even more animations with Steel on Bone. However others may feel concern to this. I like the weapon upgrading system from NGS2. Because it forces the player on balancing the difficulty issues. People play Master Ninja mode however they upgrade all their weapons before getting to the middle section of the game. That is not a challenge. In fact NGS2 basically used the old method of classic weapon upgrade designing. This method is when you play games and you gradually get upgrades as you progress further to the level. Basically like how Metroid franchise works. If you can climb faster with Kunai Climb with active button presses then cool! |

There not complaints, just my concerns. We dont have a clue wether they will be in the game or not so I wouldnt say my complaints The way he keeps emphasising SOB and the Katana does make me think that there will only be swords in the game. I love the DS, but being forced to use it through out will defo turn some people off. I'll be dissapointed for sure. I at least want the Lunar, but i'm almost certain that it wont make it into the game. I have to disagree here. NG2 MN, you need them weapons leveled up as soon as poss, until you become so used to the game that you dont need to worry about what weapons are upgraded or become pro & can get OLB with 10 ninpo. IMO NGS2 was to easy & would of been a lot easier if you could upgrade your weapons when you wanted to. Upgrading in NGS2 would of been OP. The classic way of upgrading allowed you to upgrade where ever & more than 1 weapon at a time. In NGS2 you cant. It appears that NG3 will be going back to classic upgrading. The only redeeming quality for me about NGS2 is multiplayer & chapter challenge. I was dissapointed when I played NGS2 after playing NG2. This message has been edited. Last edited by: In4It, |

nice sig.
I don't believe allowing the player to level up a weapon freely during Master Ninja gives a tendency towards the challenge. I mean if you want to play the game in Master Ninja and you upgrade many of your weapons at start, the difficulty will be easy. One of my vows is to play Ninja Gaiden 2 again and avoid using the stage 1 glitch technique. Using the karma glitch technique allowed me to level up Lunar to level 2 which indefinitely made the game quite easier for me. Trust me, hardcore players of NG1 would agree with this. I've seen people finish NG1 without upgrading the dragon sword, upgrading healthbar, using lvl wooden stick all in Master Ninja. So starting level 3 with a max out weapon would just make the game less painful to experience. Following the upgrading rules on prior to the level progression makes things more challenging. But once you are free to level up any weapon, you are basically altering the difficulty level. I love Sigma 2 because it brings back the emphasis and essence of how NG played and why it was critically acclaimed. The slow pace, looking for an opening to attack and understanding the weapon+enemy attack patterns. Also here's another secret to NG3 (might be) That character holding the sabre daggers. His costume looks like Bayman's Alternate costume from DOA Dimensions. Originally Hayashi confirmed and said DOA will not intervene with NG world and he wants to keep DOA Characters off NG. Even though DOA are not involved in NG3, it would be cool if that Black Skull character costume was a reference to Bayman's costume 2 from DOA D. |

This is my first post here, even though I have been reading these forums for a while. And, I have been a die hard fan of the series since the original Ninja Gaiden on Xbox. And Team Ninja has been my favorite developer since then also.
Having that said, I can't believe all the bad feedback this game is getting. This looks like a great entry into the series. And, I can't wait to get my hands on it and play. Naysayers should just... go play in the middle of the street for fun. Also, I have to thank xino, your constant updates keep me coming back to this forum. Its good to see true fans. |

Well, call me a hater all you want, but Ninja Gaiden Black is my favourite game of all time (and I've been playing games on and off since 1985), so I feel that I have a right to voice my disappointment. Just because I'm a fan of the series up-to this point, doesn't mean that it will remain so. It's a strange way to approach life, to try to like something just because I've dug previous iterations. That goes for music, books, film etc. You have to be honest with yourself.
To clarify my earlier point: I can kind of see the Ninja Gaiden gameplay buried in there somewhere, but it seems like you have to wade through so much bullsh!t just to get to it. QTE or not it slows down the gameplay which is contrary to what the game has always been about. Also, when do you know to do it or not? It seemed like it was happening every half a second, which seemed to make normal combat moves redundant. The super-move looked kinda cool but it seems so uber-powerful and seemed like you could use it every ten seconds. No orbs anymore. Also, I don't think I saw the player block/riposte once. The enemies were of the stand there and wait to be attacked variety. Seemed like you'd actually have to go out of your way to take damage. The boss looked kinda cool but it seems just like more like another vehicle for scripted events. The stealth sections seem arbitrary, like here's a stealth section, walk slowly through the fog and take out enemies. So lame. Tenchu: SA it ain't. The game just doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. All the slow-down in combat is weak and basically all the changes only seem to hinder the game. All they needed to do was keep the same combat gameplay (some tweaks, new moves, weapons are fine), improve the level design, allay any concerns about 'cheapness' and perhaps make somewhat more of a coherent story. The story seems like pretentious Anime-like hogwash. The apple certainly seems to have fallen very far from the tree, but we'll see... Oh yeah and the climbing was super-mega-lame! What was wrong with the wall bounce? Arrrgghhh! (This is all I'm going to say on the matter. I merely posted here in hopes that Team Ninja/Tecmo staff would hear of my extreme disappointment in regards to the direction of this series. If this is indicative of the final product, then no way am I buying it.) This message has been edited. Last edited by: GhostH, |

there is no QTE, there is button prompts which many action games have these days. It's akin to going near a chest in NG and seeing the triangle button pop up to open it. THAT'S what NG3 has. It's a prompt within the tutorial section to get new players to understand how the steel on bone works. After the tutorial section is finish, it will not show up again. Ninja Gaiden 1, Ninja Gaiden 2, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and 2 all had tutorials showing you how to perform certain moves like flying swallow and UT. This will be no different.
I actually know someone on youtube who does NUR(No Upgrade Runs) on god of war, ninja gaiden and what not. He's very good player. |
