Ok I had enough of this random disconnection, and I THINK I may have come up with a nice solution.

First of all, BOO to people who still use wireless to play multiplayer online! GTFO of gaming.

*Firstly when I use wireless, I get disconnected from PSN randomly and some dumb error code comes up
*If I use wired connection, I never get disconnected from PSN, only happens rarely. Though I get disconnected from in-game online all the time!

Now what I was trying to do is get an Optimal Connection like how some people do online. This is not my internet so I can't config anything to do with my internet to set up DMZ, UPnP, port forwarding or what so ever.

But my solution comes from MTU manual config.

1. Click on START>Run>"cmd" (VISTA: just type in "cmd" on search bar and enter) *please without quotations:/*

2.now type in "ping"

3. Look at those words with a "-a, -f, -n" etc.
Type in ping www.google.com -f -l XXXX
(XXXX is the MTU number that should range between 1000-1999)

4. If entered correctly you should get this results: Ping stats:
Packets: Sent= 4, Recieved=4, Loss=0 <0% Loss>
Aprox etc details

5.The meaning of MTU is the data packet that can be sent and received, if number is too high like 1999, then your router can't receive the packets. If your number is 1000, your router can receive the packets but internet will be slow. If the number is in between like 1250, it will receive the packets as well as run smooth.

6. If you get these results
Sent=4, Recieved=0, Lost=4.
Then it means your router can't handle the packets.

7. For my Laptop using wireless or wired, the highest number my router can receive is 1470. Try it with yours.

8. Now for the PS3/Beast, surely you can only enter from 0600-1500. So using 1470 from your laptop/PC may be too much for your PS3. So you should try something from a lower number.

9. When you test your result, you should still get NAT 2, but no DLC/Upload estimate count and a message should appear saying something about PS3 can't recieve IP fragments:/

After all these, I had an Optimal connection! Cuz a player told me my connection was Blue, as I used to have Green before. Plus the game RAN Smooth like butter! No lag or sh*!
Yet I still freaking got disconnections. The player playing with me got disconnected:/

Anyway I'll look into this further.

haha, I know how annoyed you are, I used to have connection problems when I played on my PC last year.

but I use Wireless for my PS3, and I barely ever get disconnected. The game play runs smooth, I sometimes even get blue connections.

Hey! Good news! I was finally able to reach a Tecmo person on Facebook, He/she asked for the URL to this forum (I thought he/she had the URL since it's their forum) but anyway, he/she asked for the URL and I gave it to them, now there should be a Tecmo person reading our posts! Yay!

Tecmo shouldn't be hard to contact since they only have around 900 fans on their Facebook page. (that's because it's so hard to find, and the link on the Ninja Gaiden site doesn't work)
They have 2000 fans on Twitter though.

lol..you sound like you've been trying to contact them all these time.

And WTF was that supposed to mean:/ They are the one linking this forum to the NGS2 site, and even recommended people on facebook to join their forum, which is this.

My download speed is 6mb, can't remember upload though

yeah, I never actually sent them anything.

I wrote something on their wall on New Year's eve asking them if they read the forum (I was excited about my idea of injured enemies), and they replied asking for the URL.

I never actually expected a reply. =)

there were people wanting Tecmo people to read these forums, so now they don't have to wonder, there's only a person reading if you ask them to.

They should be reading it in the first place, since they made the forum and even referenced it from their NGS2 site.

Finally moved into an apartment where I can have DSL as opposed to the Altell Aircard I have been using for the past year and a half. The only problem being is that the phone jack is downstairs in the kitchen and I have my PC in my bedroom upstairs. I was wondering if I would get a better signal/connection if I were to buy a 100 foot Ethernet cable and directly connect to the router or would I be better off saving my money and just sticking with the wireless adapter? As far as the length goes, it isn't 100 feet from from PC to my kitchen, I just cannot find a shorter cable that would reach.

Right now, I am getting three out of four bars of signal and I am pinging a steady 150 while playing online on a good server. When I connected my laptop directly to the router, I was getting four out of four bars and pinging in the low 60s on the same servers.

Also, I am planning on buying a TV for my consoles and setting them up downstairs as opposed to connecting them to my monitor - my new apartment just isn't big enough to have everything set up in my room like it was in the house from which I just moved. I know there are multiple ethernet ports in the back of the router, so I was wondering if I could have a 20 foot ethernet to my consoles and a 100 foot to my PC and not experience any ghosting or lag issues.

I know that we all suffered from the signing out problem that happens frequently.(I really didn't untill today) so I tried at least fixing this problem to play at least what doesn't require any connection, and I did!
so all you have to do is to deliberatly sign out somehow, like unblugging your DSL cable or turning off the router.... any thing would do, then start the game and when it asks you to sign in press O(circle/cancel) and the game will start normally and never sign out because your already signed out. I've just tried it with story mode but I suppose chapter challenge and mission mode will also function too.
